Overview

LEO is a wall light from the brand FARO designed for those who seek precise accent lighting and a clean finish that does not interrupt the style of the space. It works well in a bedroom, a hallway, or any area where light needs to be directed to a specific point without taking up ceiling space.

The lamp incorporates an integrated COB LED light source, which means there is no need to search for or replace bulbs. The body is made of aluminium with a matte white finish — a material that does not accumulate heat noticeably and fits effortlessly into modern or minimalist interiors.

One of the distinctive features of this model is that it can also be installed as a recessed fixture in the ceiling or wall, with an additional accessory sold separately. This gives it a certain flexibility if the layout of the space changes at some point.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in interior and exterior lighting. Their products are designed to last and to adapt to real domestic contexts, without relying on passing trends.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, it is recommended to have the wiring points already prepared before mounting. As it is a surface-mounted luminaire with direct wall fixing, it is advisable to verify that the surface is solid and that the junction box is at the appropriate height. If it is to be used as a recessed fixture, it is necessary to purchase the compatible accessory separately and follow the manufacturer's instructions for that installation method. In any case, the electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified professional.

The aluminium body with matte white finish is easy to clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Abrasive products or solvents that could damage the surface should not be used. The lamp requires no special maintenance beyond periodic cleaning to prevent dust accumulation, especially around the LED emitter area.

Design and use

The LEO wall light has a compact profile and a defined silhouette. Its dimensions — 165 mm high, 100 mm long and 180 mm deep — make it suitable for both spacious areas and tighter spaces where a larger lamp would not fit. The weight of 0.34 kg makes installation easy without the need for additional wall reinforcements.

The aluminium body provides solidity without adding unnecessary bulk. The matte white finish is uniform, free of distracting gloss, and integrates well with light-coloured walls, wood cladding or exposed concrete surfaces. In a Nordic-style living room or a bedroom with a neutral palette, this wall light disappears visually and lets the light take centre stage.

The colour temperature of 2700K produces a warm light, similar to that of a traditional incandescent bulb. This type of light is pleasant in spaces where relaxation or a more intimate atmosphere is desired, such as a bedroom or living room. It also works well in a dining room, where warm light enhances the ambience during meals.

In a bathroom, this wall light can be placed on either side of the mirror for more balanced facial illumination, avoiding the shadows created by a lamp positioned only on the ceiling. In that same bathroom, the wall is often the only available place to add accent lighting without modifying the ceiling installation.

In hallways, where space is limited and ceiling height may be restricted, a wall light like this resolves the lighting without interfering with passage. The accent light it projects can be directed towards specific areas — a picture, a plant, a niche — creating points of visual interest that make the hallway more pleasant to walk through.

In a kitchen, the LEO wall light can complement the main lighting in work areas or in the space above the worktop, where overhead light sometimes does not reach with sufficient intensity. In that context, the matte white finish holds up well to frequent surface contact and remains unchanged over time.

The possibility of converting it into a recessed fixture with an additional accessory is a real advantage for those planning a renovation. It allows a later decision on how to integrate it depending on how the final layout of each room turns out, without needing to purchase a different lamp.

Questions and answers

Does the LEO wall light include the light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The lamp includes the integrated COB LED light source. No additional bulb needs to be purchased for it to function.

What accessory is needed to install the LEO as a recessed fixture and where can it be obtained?

The accessory for recessed installation is not included and is sold separately. It is recommended to consult with the distributor or directly with FARO to identify the compatible accessory for this model.

Is the colour temperature of 2700K suitable for a bathroom or a bedroom?

2700K produces a warm light that is comfortable in spaces such as the bedroom, bathroom or living room. It is a colour temperature designed for environments where rest or a relaxed atmosphere is desired, not for areas of intensive work.
