Overview

FRAME is a wall light from the brand FARO, designed for interior lighting in bedrooms, hotel rooms, and restoration or business projects. Its steel structure with an old gold finish and beige shade give it a discreet yet defined presence, fitting well in interiors that seek a warm touch without feeling overdone.

What sets this lamp apart is the integrated button on the base. There is no need to get up to find a switch or rely on the room's electrical system. It turns on and off from the light itself, making it especially convenient for bedside tables or headboards in hospitality settings.

FARO is a brand with decades of experience in lighting. Its catalogue covers solutions for the home and professional environments, with attention to finish and design details.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light, you need an existing power outlet or wiring at the point on the wall where you want to place it. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if channels need to be cut or the existing wiring modified. Before starting, make sure to turn off the power at the electrical panel. The light accepts voltages between 100 V and 240 V, making it compatible with the standard electrical grid in Spain and most countries. The bulb is not included; use an E27 LED type with a maximum power of 15 W.

To clean the metal structure, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the old gold finish. The beige shade is cleaned with a soft cloth without harsh chemicals. Do not handle the bulb while the lamp is connected to the power supply. If you need to replace the bulb, disconnect the light first and wait for it to cool down.

Design and use

The FRAME wall light from FARO is a wall lamp designed for those who want to combine functionality and aesthetics without overcomplicating things. The structure is made of steel with an old gold finish, a tone that evokes naturally aged metal, without the excessive shine of classic gold. The beige shade complements that base with a neutral and warm note, filtering light evenly across the wall and surrounding space.

The wall light is designed primarily for the bedroom. Placed at bedside height, it works as a reading lamp or as an ambient light source for the night. The integrated button on the base is a detail that makes a difference in that context: it allows you to turn the lamp on and off without getting out of bed, something that in everyday life is more appreciated than it might seem. This same feature makes it very suitable for hotel rooms, where guests need direct control over the lighting without relying on centralised panels.

Beyond the bedroom, this wall light can work well in hallways, where the soft, directed light of a wall lamp creates a more welcoming atmosphere than overhead lighting. In long or narrow hallways, placing a wall light at mid-height helps break the visual monotony and adds depth to the space. It is also an option to consider in the living room, especially when looking to complement the main lighting with more specific and decorative light points.

The old gold finish pairs well with interior styles that favour materials with texture and character. It combines with dark wood, vintage design pieces, or environments that blend the classic with the contemporary. This is not a lamp that tries to go unnoticed, but it does not seek to be the centre of attention either: it fits as part of a well-thought-out ensemble.

In restoration projects or in businesses such as hotels, restaurants, or rural houses, the FRAME wall light provides that finishing detail that guests notice even if they cannot quite say why. The warmth of the old gold and the beige of the shade generate a warm and enveloping light, far from the coldness of an exposed bulb. It is a lamp that works quietly but contributes in a real way to the atmosphere of the space.

The bathroom is another possible setting if the electrical conditions allow it. In large bathrooms, the wall light can be used as supplementary lighting near the mirror, although in that case it is important to verify the electrical installation regulations in damp areas. For the service bathroom or cloakroom, where distances are shorter and overhead lighting can be too direct, a side wall light provides more balanced illumination.

With a depth of 280 mm and a weight of 1.67 kg, the wall light has a physical presence without being bulky. Its dimensions make it manageable on walls of different widths and heights, both in new-build homes and in renovations of existing spaces.

Questions and answers

Does the FRAME wall light include a bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The bulb is not included. The wall light uses an E27 LED type bulb with a maximum power of 15 W, which is purchased separately.

Does the integrated button on the base replace the wall switch?

The button on the base allows you to turn the lamp on and off directly from the wall light, without needing to use the wall switch. This makes it especially practical in bedrooms and hotel rooms.

Is this wall light compatible with the standard electrical installation in Spain?

Yes. The wall light operates within a voltage range of 100 V to 240 V, making it compatible with the standard Spanish electrical grid and that of most European countries.
