Overview

FLIN is a wall light designed for those looking for a practical and discreet reading lamp. Its articulated arm allows you to direct the light exactly where it is needed, without moving furniture or looking for additional sockets. It is an option designed for the bedroom, living room or any corner where you read, work or simply want directed light close at hand.

The body of the wall light combines aluminium and steel in a matte black finish. Solid materials, no fragile parts, with a clean visual presence that does not draw too much attention but fits well in contemporary interiors. The lamp already includes the integrated LED source, so it arrives ready to install.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior and exterior lighting. Its products can be found in residential projects and workspaces around the world. FLIN is part of its line of functional wall lights for everyday use.

Installation and specifications

Installing this wall light requires an electrical connection in the wall at the chosen point. It is advisable to use an electrician if there is no pre-installed junction box. The weight of the assembly is less than half a kilogram, so it does not require special fixings in plasterboard or clad walls. It is fixed directly to the wall with the mounting elements included. Before connecting, make sure the circuit is de-energised.

The aluminium and steel surface is cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte black finish should not be used. As the lamp has an integrated LED, there is no need to handle any bulb. If the light stops working, consult the technical service before any intervention.

Design and use

The FLIN wall light by FARO is a wall lamp with an articulated arm, made of aluminium and steel with a matte black finish. Its structure allows the position of the spotlight to be adjusted easily, making it a useful solution in spaces where fixed lighting is not sufficient. It takes up no space on surfaces and keeps the reading area clear.

In the bedroom, this type of wall light is especially convenient. It can be installed on either side of the headboard for reading without disturbing whoever is sleeping next to you. The warm 3000K light creates a calm atmosphere, without the coldness of some LED lamps with a higher temperature. It is a room where lighting control makes a difference, and an articulated wall light makes it possible without any complications.

In the living room, the FLIN wall light can be used next to a reading armchair or as a complementary light point near a bookcase. It does not depend on a floor lamp that takes up floor space, or a ceiling lamp that illuminates the entire room equally. The articulated arm allows the light to be concentrated where it is needed at any given moment.

The matte black finish fits well with modern-style interiors, with dark furniture or with walls in neutral tones. It can also work as a contrast in lighter spaces, where a black lamp adds a touch of character without looking overdone. It is a wall light of restrained design, which does not seek to stand out but does not go unnoticed either.

Outside the bedroom and living room, this wall light can be installed in hallways to provide directed light in passageways, or in a bathroom if placed next to the mirror to better illuminate the work area. In long hallways or those with little natural light, an adjustable wall light is more efficient than a centred ceiling lamp, because it allows the light to be directed to the exact point where it is needed.

The kitchen or dining room can also benefit from a wall light like this if there is a specific area that needs more illumination: a side worktop, a work table or a corner where you read or check recipes. In the dining room, placed near a side table or sideboard, it can complement the main lighting without the need to install more ceiling light points.

The integrated LED technology operates at 3W with a colour temperature of 3000K, which is equivalent to a warm light similar to that of traditional incandescent bulbs. The voltage range of 100V to 240V makes the wall light compatible with the standard electrical network in Spain and in most of the world, which also makes it easy to use if purchased for a second home in another country.

Weighing less than half a kilogram and with compact dimensions, the FLIN wall light places no structural load on the wall and is simple to install. The assembly arrives ready to mount, with the LED source already included.

Questions and answers

Does the articulated arm allow the lamp to be directed into several positions or does it only move on one axis?

The articulated arm of the FLIN wall light is designed to offer flexibility in the orientation of the light. It allows the direction of the spotlight to be adjusted according to the user's position, which is especially useful in reading areas where the light needs to adapt to different postures or heights.

Is the integrated LED source replaceable if it stops working?

The lamp includes a high-power LED module integrated into the body of the wall light. It is not designed for the user to replace the light source on their own. If any operational problem is detected, the recommended course of action is to contact the technical service or consult the warranty conditions of the product.

Does the 100V–240V voltage mean I can install it without an adapter in any country?

Yes. The FLIN wall light operates with a wide voltage range covering both 110V and 220V–240V networks. This means it is compatible with the standard electrical installation in Spain and in most countries without the need for any additional adapter or transformer.
