Overview

The DANTE wall light by FARO is a wall lamp designed for those who want to solve two needs in a single light point: soft ambient light and an adjustable reading spotlight. It is a practical solution for the bedroom, although it also fits well in hallways, living rooms, or any room where functional lighting is desired without visually overloading the space.

The geometric body in matte black gives it a clean and orderly character. It does not draw excessive attention, but it does not go unnoticed either. It is installed directly on the wall and works with two independent light sources: a 5W indirect ambient light and a 3W adjustable LED reader, each with its own switch. This allows them to be used together or separately depending on what is needed at any given moment.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior and exterior lighting. They work with solid materials and take care of both the finish and the behavior of light in the space.

Installation and specifications

To install this wall light correctly, it is recommended to cut the power before starting any electrical work. The fixing is directly onto the wall, so it is important to ensure that the surface is firm and level. If the wall is brick or cement, expansion anchors will be needed. For drywall or similar surfaces, it is preferable to locate an internal support or use specific anchors for that material. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, it is recommended to seek the help of an electrician.

To clean the lamp, a dry or slightly damp cloth can be used on the aluminum and steel body. The opal PC diffuser can be cleaned with a soft cloth without abrasive products. Avoid the use of solvents or aggressive cleaners that could damage the finishes. Do not handle the lamp with the power connected.

Design and use

The DANTE wall light has a compact structure that does not take up space in the room, yet fulfills its function without compromise. The body, made of aluminum and steel with a matte black finish, has a geometry reminiscent of the forms of contemporary architecture: straight lines, defined angles, without unnecessary ornaments. It is a design that fits well with modern interiors and also with more neutral spaces where lighting is meant to be the functional element, not the decorative one.

The wall lamp works with two differentiated light sources. The 5W indirect ambient light creates a warm luminous background at 2700K, which does not tire the eyes and gives the space a sense of calm. The 3W adjustable LED reader allows the beam to be directed exactly where needed, thanks to its long arm that facilitates precise adjustment. This wall light also incorporates a honeycomb panel that improves the quality of light by reducing glare, something especially useful when used as a reading lamp in the bedroom.

The two independent switches are an important detail. You can turn on only the ambient light at night to avoid disturbing others, or activate only the reader when reading. This independence makes the wall light a flexible tool that adapts to the moment, not the other way around.

As for usage possibilities, the bedroom is the most natural environment for this wall light. Installed at the appropriate height next to the bed, it resolves both general and reading lighting in a single element. It also works well in hallways where you want to combine functional light with some visual presence. In the living room it can play a secondary role as accent light or complement to a broader central lighting setup. In a work or study room, the adjustable reader is especially useful for concentrating light on the table or desk without relying on another independent lamp.

The matte black finish does not visibly accumulate fingerprints and maintains a clean appearance with minimal maintenance. The opal diffuser distributes light evenly, avoiding hot spots or areas with excessive brightness. This makes the lamp pleasant to look at even when switched on at full power.

The DANTE wall light integrates well in interiors with dark or neutral-toned furniture. It combines effortlessly with exposed concrete surfaces, white walls, or earth-toned cladding. If the rest of the space combines metal and natural textiles, this wall light fits without distorting the whole. It can also work in well-ventilated bathrooms, or in common areas where visual coherence between spaces is desired.

Questions and answers

Does the DANTE wall light include the light source or does it need to be purchased separately?

The lamp does not include the light source. It must be purchased separately. The wall light is compatible with 5W COB LED light sources for the ambient light and 3W for the adjustable reader, with a color temperature of 2700K.

Do the two switches allow each light source to be controlled completely independently?

Yes. The DANTE wall light has two separate switches, one for the indirect ambient light and one for the adjustable LED reader. They can be used together or separately depending on the need at any given moment.

Does the honeycomb panel affect the amount of light emitted by the lamp?

The honeycomb panel does not significantly reduce the luminous flux, but it does control the emission angle and limits direct glare. The result is a more comfortable light of better perceived quality, especially in reading or resting environments.
