Overview

The CONGA wall light by FARO is a surface-mounted luminaire designed for interiors that combines functionality with a refined appearance. Its white fabric shade diffuses light gently, without creating harsh contrasts or pronounced shadow areas. It is a lamp that fits well in both residential spaces and hospitality environments: hotels, rental apartments, and common areas.

The wall light features an integrated reader, making it especially useful in rooms where a directed light source is needed next to a bed or in a reading chair. The steel structure in a matte white finish gives it solidity without appearing visually heavy. This wall lamp is a practical solution for those looking for functional lighting with a neat and neutral appearance.

FARO is a Spanish brand with experience in designing interior luminaires. Its collections are aimed at both domestic users and larger-scale projects, with a focus on material quality and the visual coherence of each product.

Installation and specifications

For installation, the wall light must be fixed directly to the wall at a location where an electrical point is available. Before starting assembly, make sure to cut the power from the main panel. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if new conduits need to be run or existing wiring needs to be modified. The wall light weighs 1.67 kg, so the wall support must be adequate for that weight. On plasterboard or lightweight material walls, use anchors specifically designed for that type of surface.

For maintenance, clean the steel body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte white finish. The fabric shade can be cleaned with a soft brush to remove accumulated dust. Do not wet the shade directly. Replace the bulb only when the wall light is switched off and disconnected from the power supply.

Design and use

The CONGA wall light is part of an interior lighting collection developed by Faro Lab, the design division of FARO. The result is a wall lamp with a clean profile, designed to integrate into spaces where visual order matters as much as functionality.

The body is made of steel with a matte white finish, a material that ensures stability and long-term durability. The shade is made of white fabric, which provides a warmer, more welcoming texture compared to other colder material options. This combination makes the lamp work well in a bedroom or living room where a balanced atmosphere is sought, without any jarring elements.

The wall light incorporates a reader, a feature particularly valued in hotel rooms, master bedrooms, or reading nooks. This detail sets it apart from a conventional decorative wall light and makes it a piece with real everyday utility. In a bedroom, it allows reading without switching on the main lamp. In a living room or sitting room, it adds a focused light source that complements the ambient lighting.

The lamp is compatible with E27 LED bulbs of up to 15 W. The E27 socket is the most common on the market, making it easy to find a suitable bulb in any store. A good-quality LED bulb in this wall light can provide warm or neutral light depending on the chosen tone, adapting to the atmosphere desired in each room.

The neutral design of the CONGA wall light makes it compatible with different interior styles. In a space with straight lines and light colours, it blends in elegantly. In a room with natural wood elements, the fabric shade provides a soft contrast that enriches the overall look. It also fits into projects where the overall design is built around neutral palettes and simple materials.

Beyond the bedroom and living room, this wall light can be installed in hallways where orientation lighting with a certain aesthetic consideration is needed. In the dining room, used in pairs on a side wall, it creates complementary lighting that adds depth to the space. It can also work in the bathroom if placed in areas away from the water point, although for installations near the shower or washbasin it would be necessary to verify the appropriate IP protection rating.

In hospitality projects, the CONGA wall light responds well to the usual requirements: a refined appearance, simple operation, and ease of bulb replacement without the need for technical intervention. The fabric shade adds a touch of warmth that improves the perception of the space in hotel rooms, tourist apartments, or rest areas in workspaces.

Its size is compact: 280 mm in height, 215 mm in length, and 260 mm in depth. This allows it to be installed even on walls with little available space without appearing disproportionate. The weight of 1.67 kg is moderate and does not require special reinforcements on conventional masonry walls.
