Overview

CONFETTI is a lamp from the collection designed by Nutcreatives for the brand FARO. It can be installed as a wall sconce or as a ceiling flush mount, making it a flexible option for different spaces in the home. It works well in the living room, bedroom, dining room, or even the bathroom, whenever clean lighting with a clear visual presence is desired.

The shade is the central element of the design. It is made from recycled plastic sourced from bottle caps, and all production takes place in Valencia. This gives it a local and conscious character, without affecting the quality of the result. The bulb remains visible, which reinforces the lamp's appearance and has been part of the design from the start.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in interior and exterior lighting. Their products combine design criteria with attention to materials and the manufacturing process.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall sconce, check that the wall surface where it will be fixed is solid and free of moisture or irregularities. The sconce is installed directly on the wall, so it is advisable to prepare the anchoring with the appropriate elements for the type of wall you have, whether brick, concrete, or drywall. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, it is recommended that a qualified electrician carry out the connection. Make sure to cut the power before starting any work.

To clean the lamp, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte black finish of the aluminum body. Do not handle the bulb while the lamp is on or immediately after use, as it may be hot. Always change the bulb with the power off.

Design and use

The CONFETTI lamp by FARO has a circular format with a diameter of 45 cm and a height of 142 mm. That size allows it to fill the space well without being excessive. The body is made of aluminum with a matte black finish, a durable material that maintains a clean appearance over time.

What sets this lamp apart from other similar options is the shade. It is made from recycled plastic sourced from bottle caps, and that is not just a technical detail: it gives it a particular texture and appearance that can be noticed when light passes through the material. The bulb is visible, integrated into the design as one more element. It is not hidden, but rather forms part of the visual composition of the lamp.

As a wall sconce, the CONFETTI lamp fits well in hallways, living rooms, or dining rooms. In longer hallways, more than one unit can be installed in sequence to create a continuous line of light along the wall. As a flush mount, it works equally well in rooms where it is preferable to keep the ceiling free.

In the bedroom, a sconce of these dimensions can be used as primary lighting if the room is not very large, or as a complement in larger spaces. In the bathroom, its wall installation is practical for areas such as the washbasin, where direct and steady light is needed. For this type of use, the bathroom zone type and the corresponding electrical safety regulations must be taken into account.

In the dining room, the CONFETTI lamp provides a clear visual presence. Installed on the side wall, it generates ambient light that complements a pendant lamp above the table well. In the living room, it can be used in combination with other light sources to create differentiated zones, something that CONFETTI allows with ease thanks to its ability to be installed on both walls and ceilings.

Nutcreatives' design favors simplicity of form, but with a shade that has its own character. It is not a discreet lamp that goes unnoticed, but it does not compete with the rest of the space either. It fits well in modern interiors, although its circular shape and the recycled material also give it a design component that can work in more eclectic settings.

The fact that production is local, in Valencia, is an aspect that many buyers value today. It does not affect the everyday use of the lamp, but it does affect the origin of the product and the way it is manufactured.
