Overview

ANOUK is a table lamp from the brand FARO designed to illuminate a desk, bedside table, or any corner where you need stable, hassle-free light. It works well both at home and in work spaces: whether it's a bedroom, a living room with a reading area, or a personal office.

What sets it apart from other table lamps is the combination of three functions in a single body: touch control, brightness regulation, and an integrated USB port. There's no need to search for a switch or get up to plug in your phone. One touch adjusts the light, and the device cable goes directly into the port without taking up a wall outlet.

FARO is a company with decades of experience in lighting. Their products are designed for everyday use, with attention to detail and durability. ANOUK reflects that approach to design: functional, without excess, with finishes that hold up well over time.

Installation and specifications

This table lamp requires no fixed electrical installation. Simply place it on a stable surface, connect the cable to the mains, and it is ready to use. Position it on the desk or bedside table with enough space around it so the arm is not restricted. The cable should be free of tension and away from areas of foot traffic.

To clean the ABS body, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte black finish. The translucent PMMA diffuser may accumulate dust over time; remove it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not wet the base or the USB port area. Always unplug the lamp before cleaning it.

Design and use

The ANOUK lamp has a body built in ABS, a technical plastic resistant to impacts and moderate heat, common in everyday lighting products. The matte black finish gives it a discreet appearance that does not compete with other elements in the surroundings. It is not a piece that seeks to draw attention, but rather to integrate seamlessly into the space where it is placed.

The translucent PMMA diffuser softens the light output from the 8W SMD LED source at 4000K. That color temperature, close to daylight, is comfortable for reading, writing, or working in front of a screen for long periods. It is not a warm ambient light, but functional and clear, well suited to a desk or bedside table where you need to see things in detail.

The Touch Lamp system allows you to switch on, switch off, and adjust the brightness with a simple touch. There is no toggle switch or button to press: the response is immediate and the gesture feels natural after two or three uses. The brightness regulation allows you to adapt the light to different times of day, from a high level for working to a lower one for reading before sleep.

The integrated USB port is one of the details most appreciated in daily use. When the lamp is on the bedside table, it allows you to charge your phone without searching for a charger. On the desk, that same port avoids occupying a power outlet with the phone or tablet adapter. It is a small feature, but one that changes the way you organize the space around the lamp.

As for the environment where it fits best, ANOUK is at home in modern or clean-lined spaces. Its matte black finish pairs well with dark wood surfaces, brushed metal, or off-white. On a walnut bedside table or a lacquered desk, it integrates without disrupting the overall look. It can also work in a dining room with a work area or in a living room where a reading corner has been set up.

At just over one kilogram, it remains stable on the surface without needing an additional base. The dimensions, with 400 mm in height and 350 mm in depth, provide a sufficient presence without taking up too much space. The LED light source is included, so the lamp is ready to use from the very first moment without having to search for compatible bulbs.

The universal voltage between 100V and 240V makes it suitable for any standard domestic electrical network, without intermediate adapters.

Questions and answers

Does the USB port on the ANOUK lamp charge any device, or does it only work with certain models?

The USB port is for general use and can charge devices compatible with a standard USB connection, such as mobile phones and tablets. Charging speed depends on the device and the cable you use, not on the lamp.

Does the touch brightness regulation have fixed levels or is it continuous?

The Touch Lamp system allows you to adjust the brightness through successive touches. Each touch cycles through a different brightness level. To turn the lamp off, hold the contact for a slightly longer moment or repeat the gesture according to the system's cycle.

Is the 4000K color temperature suitable for using the lamp as night lighting before going to sleep?

4000K corresponds to a neutral light, similar to natural daylight. It is comfortable for working or reading, but somewhat stimulating for the moment just before sleep. The brightness regulation function allows you to lower the light level and make the atmosphere calmer at night.
