Overview

This table lamp from FARO is a simple, well-executed option for those looking for ambient light without any fuss. It works well on a bedside table, on a desk, or in any corner where a discreet light source is needed. Its compact format takes up little space, and the matte black finish effortlessly suits Nordic or contemporary interiors.

The design puts the bulb front and center. There is no shade to block it or diffuser to filter it: the light is exposed and visible, giving the lamp a character of its own within the space. It is an object that does not go unnoticed, but neither does it compete with the rest of the furniture.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in interior lighting. Their products combine careful design with durable materials, and this lamp is no exception. Made from steel with a matte black finish, it is built to last and maintain its appearance over time.

Installation and specifications

As a table lamp, installation is straightforward: simply place it on a flat, stable surface, connect it to the power supply, and fit an E27 LED bulb of up to 15 W. No tools or technical knowledge are required. Before switching it on, make sure the bulb is properly secured and that the cable is not bent or under tension.

To clean the lamp, use a dry or slightly damp cloth on the steel body. Avoid abrasive products or liquids that could affect the matte black finish. Do not wet the electrical parts. If you are not going to use it for a while, unplug it from the power supply.

Design and use

The lamp is constructed from steel, a material that provides solidity without adding unnecessary weight. At just 250 grams, it is easy to move from one place to another without any effort. The matte black finish gives it a clean, uniform appearance with no distracting shine.

Size is one of its strong points. At 75 mm tall and 90 mm long, it fits without issue on a bedside table without taking over the available space. It also works well on a desk when an additional light source is needed without cluttering the work surface. Its footprint is small, but its presence in the space is clear.

The lamp is designed to showcase the bulb, not to hide it. This makes it an option close to the vintage or industrial style, where functional elements form a visible part of the design. An LED filament bulb, for example, pairs very well with this format and with the black finish of the body.

In the bedroom, on the bedside table, it provides warm, ambient light that helps wind down the day without harsh illumination. In the living room, placed on a shelf or side table, it adds a decorative light point that complements the general lighting. In the dining room, it can work as an accent on a sideboard or side unit, accompanying the main light without replacing it.

Nordic and contemporary design share the same logic: less is more. This lamp fits that philosophy. It does not overwhelm the space, does not impose a specific style, and lets the rest of the surroundings breathe. It pairs well with light wood surfaces, white walls, neutral textiles, and other objects with clean lines.

If the space features black metal elements, such as furniture legs or picture frames, the lamp reinforces that coherence without needing much planning. It also works alongside ceramic objects or natural materials, where the contrast between industrial and organic is pleasing.

The bulb is not included, allowing you to choose the colour temperature and light intensity according to the needs of each space. For a warmer, more intimate atmosphere, a 2700K LED is a good option. For a desk, where clearer light is needed, a 4000K bulb may be preferred.

Compatibility with voltages between 100V and 240V allows it to be used in different countries without adapters, making it practical for travel or use in a second home.
