Overview

The FARO table lamp is an option designed for those seeking functional lighting with a careful finish. It can be placed on a nightstand, a desk, or a work surface, offering warm light that is easy on the eyes. The polycarbonate diffuser filters direct glare, and the beechwood structure adds texture and visual warmth to the overall piece.

This table lamp is part of the collection designed by Nahtrang, a studio recognized for combining natural materials with clean forms. The result is a piece that fits into modern interiors without feeling forced. The dark grey and aluminium body gives it stability and a discreet presence that does not compete with the rest of the space.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior lighting. Its products combine design and careful manufacturing, intended for everyday home use.

Installation and specifications

No fixed installation is required to set up this table lamp. Simply place it on the chosen surface and plug it into a standard outlet. The compatible voltage ranges from 100V to 240V, so it works with any standard domestic electrical installation. Before changing the bulb, always unplug the lamp and let the socket cool for a few minutes. Use only E27 LED bulbs with a maximum power of 15 W.

To clean the body, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products on the beechwood or the dark grey finish. The polycarbonate diffuser can be cleaned with a soft cloth; do not use solvents. Do not leave the lamp switched on without a bulb installed.

Design and use

The structure of this lamp combines aluminium and beechwood in a proportion that is visually noticeable. The aluminium provides firmness and the dark grey finish gives it a restrained look, without drawing too much attention. The wood, on the other hand, introduces a touch of warmth that balances the whole. It is not a piece that tries to stand out at all costs, but one that works well within the space without being obtrusive.

The opal polycarbonate diffuser serves a clear purpose: it distributes light evenly and prevents direct glare. The lamp does not project an aggressive beam, but rather a light that spreads gently. This makes it comfortable for reading on the nightstand, working at the desk, or simply having it on as ambient lighting in the dining room or living room.

As a table lamp, its usual position is on a surface close to the user. In the bedroom, a lamp on the nightstand allows light control without getting up. In the living room or dining room, it can be used as a secondary light source that complements the main lighting. Its size — 300 mm in height and 185 mm in diameter — is compact yet sufficient to illuminate the surrounding area well.

The E27 LED socket is standard and easy to find in any store. Compatibility with voltages between 100V and 240V means there is no need to think about adapters or converters. The bulb is not included, so it is advisable to have one ready before installing the lamp.

This piece fits well in interiors that combine natural materials with neutral finishes. Beechwood goes well with light or medium-toned furniture, and the dark grey of the body works with both cool and warm palettes. If the rest of the space has a modern look, the lamp fits in without disrupting the overall scheme. If there are more rustic or Nordic elements, the wood acts as a connecting point.

On a desk, the light produced by this lamp is sufficient for comfortable work without dominating the entire room. On the nightstand, it allows reading or resting with soft lighting that does not disturb someone sleeping nearby. In the dining room, it can be placed on a sideboard or console to create a warm atmosphere in the evening hours.

The net weight of 1.68 kg gives it stability on the surface, with no need to anchor or fix anything. The base holds steady without shifting with normal use.

Questions and answers

Does the table lamp include an E27 LED bulb?

No. The lamp comes without a bulb. It is necessary to purchase separately an E27 LED bulb with a maximum power of 15 W.

Does the opal polycarbonate diffuser reduce direct glare?

Yes. The opal material diffuses the light before it exits, so there is no direct bright point visible to the eye. The resulting illumination is uniform and comfortable for spaces with prolonged use such as the nightstand or the desk.

Does the beechwood structure require any special maintenance?

No specific maintenance is required. Simply clean it with a dry or slightly damp cloth. It is advisable to avoid harsh cleaning products or solvents that could affect the wood finish.
