Overview

The LENA lamp by FARO is a table lamp designed for those looking for straightforward, no-fuss lighting. It works well on a work desk, a bedside table, or any corner where directed light is needed for reading or focusing. The glossy black finish gives it a modern look that fits effortlessly into contemporary spaces.

What sets this lamp apart is the combination of materials: aluminium, glass, and ABS form a structure that is lightweight yet stable. The Touch Lamp system allows you to turn the light on and off with just a touch of the base, without searching for a switch. The 4000K SMD LED source provides a neutral white light, suitable for reading without straining the eyes.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior lighting. Their products combine careful design with quality materials, aimed at both domestic and professional use.

Installation and specifications

This table lamp requires no fixed installation. It is placed directly on the work surface or bedside table, plugged in, and ready to use. There is no need to drill or fix anything to the wall. Before placing it, make sure the surface is stable and that there is a nearby power outlet. The electronic adapter is included.

For maintenance, clean the aluminium body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the glossy black finish. The glass diffuser may accumulate dust over time; clean it carefully using a soft cloth. Do not touch the LED source directly. Always unplug the lamp before cleaning it.

Design and use

The LENA lamp has a discreet yet well-defined presence. Its structure combines aluminium and ABS in a glossy black finish that does not feel overloaded. The translucent glass diffuser softens the light without blocking it, producing uniform illumination over the work or reading area. At 485 mm in height, it occupies just the right amount of space to provide light without getting in the way.

The Touch Lamp system is one of the most practical features of this desk lamp. A simple touch on the base activates or deactivates the light, with no need to search for a switch or turn any knob. It is especially useful on the bedside table, where switching on the light comfortably makes a difference at the beginning or end of the day.

The colour temperature of 4000K corresponds to a neutral light, neither too warm nor too cold. This range is common in environments where people work, study, or read for extended periods, as it does not distort colours and reduces the feeling of eye strain. The 3W LED source consumes little energy and is included as standard, so the lamp is ready to use from the very first moment.

As for placement, this table lamp works well in multiple rooms. In a bedroom, placed on the bedside table, it allows reading without disturbing others. In a living room, it can be positioned in a corner next to a reading chair, providing focused light without depending on the general lighting. In a dining room with an integrated work area, it fulfils its function without clashing with the overall decor. The modern design and black finish make it compatible with styles such as industrial or Nordic.

The aluminium body provides rigidity without adding excessive weight. At 1.3 kg, the lamp is stable enough to stay in place without moving, yet light enough to reposition when needed. The flat base ensures good support on the surface, whether it is a work desk, a side table, or a shelf.

The glass diffuser is another element that adds character to the whole. It is not a minor decorative feature: it defines how the light is perceived in the space. The translucent finish allows the LED source to be visible without being uncomfortable, while at the same time distributing the illumination more evenly than a completely opaque diffuser.

This lamp fits well both in a recently renovated room and in a space that simply needs an additional light source. It requires no changes to the surroundings to function, and its black aesthetic does not compete with other elements in the space, but rather complements them. It is a solid option for anyone looking for a modern, functional, and easy-to-use lamp.

Questions and answers

Does the LENA lamp include the LED bulb, or does it need to be purchased separately?

The 3W SMD LED source is included as standard. No additional bulb needs to be purchased to start using it.

How exactly does the Touch Lamp system work on this table lamp?

The Touch Lamp system allows you to turn the lamp on and off with a direct touch on the base. There is no mechanical switch; the tactile contact activates or deactivates the circuit immediately.

Does the translucent glass diffuser affect the intensity of the light emitted by the lamp?

The translucent glass slightly filters the light to distribute it more evenly, but does not significantly reduce the 300 lumens emitted by the LED source. The result is balanced illumination over the work or reading area.
