Overview

The CONGA lamp by FARO is a table lamp designed for those looking for something specific: a light source that takes up little space, fits effortlessly into the environment, and doesn't lose presence. This mini table lamp in matte black finish with a black fabric shade works well in bedrooms, living rooms, and hospitality spaces where detail matters.

The CONGA collection was created by Faro Lab, the creative design studio of the FARO brand. The result is a piece that combines a steel structure with a textile shade, two materials that together give a defined character without appearing visually heavy.

Whether you're renovating a bedside table, looking for a desk lamp, or want to complete a reading nook in the living room, this piece meets that need with discretion and form.

Installation and specifications

No tools or fixings are needed to install this lamp. As a table lamp, it is simply placed on the desired surface, the cable is plugged into the power outlet, and a compatible E27 LED bulb with a maximum power of 15 W is installed. The bulb is not included, so it is advisable to have one ready before placing the lamp.

The fabric shade should not be cleaned with water or wet products. For dust, the most suitable option is a dry cloth or a soft brush. The steel body with matte black finish can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth and no abrasive products. Avoid placing the lamp near direct heat sources or on unstable surfaces.

Design and use

The CONGA lamp has a compact proportion that makes it easy to integrate without rearranging everything already on the bedside table. At 360 mm tall with a 215 mm base, it takes up a reasonable amount of space and leaves room for everything else. It is not a lamp that needs to be the center of attention; it works best as part of the overall composition.

The steel body in matte black has a sober presence. It does not reflect, does not shine excessively, and does not draw attention on its own. This allows the black fabric shade to provide texture and visual warmth. The combination of both materials results in a piece with a modern character, without appearing cold or distant.

On a bedside table, this lamp creates just the right atmosphere for reading or resting without overwhelming the space. It does not take up the entire surface, and its height is ideal for directing light toward a book or the headboard area without being intrusive. For those looking for a functional bedside lamp with good aesthetic presence, this option fits well.

In the living room, it can work on a side table, on a shelf with free space, or next to a sofa. The matte black finish allows it to coordinate with frames, furniture legs, or accessories in the same tone without too much planning. In a modern environment or one with clean lines, it integrates easily.

On a desk, this lamp provides a localized light source. Its size does not interfere with the workspace, and the textile shade softens the light without reducing it excessively. For those who work from home and are looking for a discreet alternative to the traditional adjustable lamp, CONGA offers an option that combines functionality with a more refined aesthetic.

The collection is also designed for hospitality projects: hotels, tourist apartments, reception areas, or rental rooms where a lamp is needed that can withstand daily use and maintain a coherent image without depending on a very specific decorative style. Matte black is a neutral color in that sense, and works on dark wood surfaces, light walls, or tables with metallic finishes.

Compatibility with E27 LED bulbs gives the user flexibility to choose the color temperature that best suits the space. Warm light enhances a restful atmosphere on the bedside table; a more neutral light may be more suitable for a desk or dining room. This lamp does not constrain that choice.

The weight of the piece, 1.67 kg, indicates solid construction. It is not a lightweight lamp that moves easily, which is an advantage on tables or surfaces where stability matters. That said, it remains manageable to reposition without effort when needed.

Questions and answers
