Overview

The FARO plaster and aluminum recessed lamp is an interior lighting solution designed for those who want to integrate light into the wall in a discreet and clean way. The wall light is installed directly into the wall, with no visible frames that stand out excessively, and adapts well to spaces where finish matters as much as function.

This model fits in a bedroom, hallway, bathroom or next to a staircase. In any of these spaces, a recessed light eliminates visible cables and external supports. The result is a uniform wall surface with an integrated light point.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior and exterior lighting. Their products meet European quality standards and are designed for straightforward installation in typical domestic settings.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the wall light, check that the area of the wall where it will be placed has no hidden pipes or electrical wiring. As it is a recessed wall luminaire, it is necessary to prepare the corresponding recess in the plaster and run the electrical installation to that point before fixing the lamp. It is recommended that the installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if it involves modifying the partition wall.

The plaster body requires careful handling during assembly to avoid impacts or excessive pressure. Once installed, it requires no special maintenance. To clean the surface, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Avoid abrasive products or liquids that could penetrate the material. Do not handle the lamp with the power connected.

Design and use

The FARO recessed wall light is made of plaster with an interior aluminum structure. This combination of materials allows the lamp to blend visually into the wall almost as if it were part of it. The matt white finish does not reflect light aggressively and maintains a neutral appearance that does not compete with the rest of the wall covering.

The light source is a 1W HIGH POWER LED with a color temperature of 3000K, which produces warm illumination similar to that of a traditional incandescent bulb. This tone is comfortable for spaces with prolonged use, such as a bedroom or entrance hall, where cool light could feel too intense. With 112 lumens, the wall light is not intended to illuminate an entire room, but rather to mark a specific point on the wall or complement other light sources in the space.

The dimensions are compact: 220 mm high, 75 mm long and 50 mm deep. This format allows it to be placed in spaces where there is little surface area available, such as the side of a niche, the gap between two doors or along a narrow hallway. On a staircase, several wall lights of the same model placed at regular intervals create continuous lighting that guides the route without visually overloading the space.

In a bathroom, the wall light can work as supplementary lighting next to the mirror or in the shower area, provided the installation complies with safety regulations for wet areas. The plaster material is common in renovations where full integration with the wall covering is sought, and in that context this model performs well.

The design is clean and unadorned, making it compatible with modern, minimalist or Nordic interiors. It can also fit into spaces with a more classic style if the rest of the finishes are in neutral tones. Being recessed, it takes up no visual space and does not interfere with other decorative elements on the wall.

In a bedroom, placed at bedside table height, it is a clear improvement over surface-mounted wall lights, which project their own volume and visual weight onto the wall. The recessed lamp, on the other hand, keeps the wall clean and frees up space on the bedside table.

The warm light it produces makes the illuminated area look welcoming without being excessively dim. In a hallway, this warmth helps the space feel larger and less cold, especially if the walls are light-colored. On a staircase, controlling the direction of the light allows each step to be marked safely without installing ceiling spotlights.

Questions and answers

Does the wall light come with the bulb included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The light source is included. It is a 1W HIGH POWER LED at 3000K with a flux of 112 lumens, already integrated into the lamp.

What recess depth do I need to prepare in the wall to install this recessed luminaire?

The depth of the body is 50 mm. This is the minimum measurement the recess in the wall must have to correctly accommodate the wall light during installation.

Can the plaster body be painted to match the color of the wall?

The original finish is matt white. Plaster accepts paint without any issues, so it can be adapted to the wall tone with a standard interior paint, provided the lamp is disconnected before applying it.
