Overview

The FARO ceiling recessed light is a compact and adjustable lamp that fits well in most rooms of a home. Thanks to its adjustable structure, it allows you to direct the light beam where needed — over a work area, a picture on the wall, or a specific corner of the room. The matte black finish gives it a discreet look that does not compete with the rest of the interior, but integrates effortlessly.

The lamp is made of aluminum, a lightweight and durable material that maintains its appearance well over time. Its modern design fits contemporary interiors without being overly eye-catching. It is an option designed for those who seek functionality and a clean style at the same time.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in home lighting for indoor and outdoor use. Their products are characterized by careful manufacturing and by adapting to the real needs of domestic spaces.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this recessed ceiling lamp, it is necessary to prepare the corresponding opening in the false ceiling or installation surface. The dimensions of the body must be taken into account to ensure that the opening fits correctly. The electrical connection must always be carried out by a qualified electrician, as the lamp does not include a transformer or lamp holder. Make sure that the installation complies with local electrical regulations and that the mains voltage is compatible with the indicated range.

To clean the lamp, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the matte black aluminum finish. Do not handle the lamp with the power connected. If you need to change the light source, always disconnect the electricity before doing so.

Design and use

The body of this recessed ceiling lamp is built in aluminum with a matte black finish. Aluminum offers a good balance between lightness and durability, making the lamp easy to handle during installation and allowing it to maintain its appearance over time. Matte black, for its part, is a tone that does not easily accumulate visible fingerprints and that pairs well with surfaces of different colors, from white ceilings to darker coverings.

The adjustable orientation of the head is one of the most practical features of this lamp. Unlike fixed ceiling lights, this model allows you to direct the light toward a specific point in the space. This makes it a useful tool for spot or accent lighting, and not just for general lighting. It can be used, for example, to highlight a reading area in a bedroom, to focus on the countertop in a kitchen, or to draw attention to a decorative element in a dining room.

In the kitchen, this type of lamp recessed into the ceiling helps to illuminate work areas without taking up space. Recessed lights have the advantage of integrating into the ceiling surface without adding volume, which is especially useful when the ceiling is low or when you want to maintain a tidy appearance. This lamp, with just 24 mm in height and 180 mm in length, has a very low profile that facilitates that integration.

In the dining room, the adjustable recessed light allows you to create a more directed atmosphere, concentrating the illumination on the table without needing to install a pendant lamp. Although the pendant lamp is a classic solution for these spaces, there are situations where it is not practical — irregular ceilings, spaces without a central light point, partial renovations — and a recessed solution like this offers a functional and modern design alternative.

In bedrooms, the matte black finish and the modern design of the FARO model fit well with interiors in a Nordic, industrial, or minimalist style. The ability to orient the spotlight allows the lighting to be adapted to different times of day or to different uses of the space. In shared bedrooms or in rooms with differentiated areas, the orientation of the beam can make the difference between a pleasant atmosphere and a poorly lit one.

Lights of this type also find their place in hallways, bathrooms, or home office spaces. Combined in a bar of several recessed lights, they create continuous lines of illumination that reinforce the style and distribute light better in elongated spaces. That same bar can serve to illuminate a wardrobe, a reading area, or any corner of the interior that needs specific attention.

The low profile and reduced weight of this lamp make it compatible with almost any type of false ceiling. The compact dimensions facilitate installation even in spaces with little structural depth. Compatibility with GU10 LED light sources at voltages from 100V to 240V makes it suitable for different types of domestic electrical installations in multiple countries.

Questions and answers
