Overview

The FARO ceiling recessed light is a two-light lamp designed for interiors. It installs directly into the ceiling without the need for additional elements, leaving a clean surface with no visible cables. It is a good option for those looking for discreet and functional lighting in different areas of the home, from the bedroom to the kitchen or dining room.

The body of this lamp is made of aluminum with a matte white finish. The material is lightweight but firm, which makes installation easier and ensures it maintains its shape over time. The modern and neutral design adapts without conflict to different decoration styles, without imposing itself or clashing.

FARO is a brand with a track record in the home lighting sector. Their products are designed for those who seek good quality without complications, with solutions that work well both in new apartments and in renovations of existing homes.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this ceiling recessed lamp, check that the hole in the ceiling has the appropriate dimensions to accommodate the body of the luminaire. Make sure the electrical wiring is switched off at the distribution panel before starting. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, it is recommended that the installation be carried out by a professional. The lamp accepts voltage between 100V and 240V, making it compatible with standard electrical installations. Remember that the GU10 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.

To clean the surface, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte white finish. Do not handle the lamp with wet hands or when it is connected to the power supply. Periodically check that the fit in the ceiling remains secure.

Design and use

This two-light ceiling recessed lamp belongs to FARO's interior lighting line. Its aluminum body with a matte white finish gives it a clean and tidy appearance, consistent with a modern style that does not seek to draw attention, but rather to integrate naturally into the space. The modern design of this luminaire allows it to be combined with smooth ceilings, neutral moldings, or light-colored finishes without generating any harsh contrast.

The two lights incorporated in this lamp allow the illumination to be distributed more effectively than a single point source. This is especially useful in spaces such as the kitchen, where clarity is needed in different work areas, or in the dining room, where good light distribution improves the atmosphere during meals. It also works well in bedrooms, where each spotlight can be oriented independently to cover different areas of the room.

The metal body is compact. With only 55 mm in height and 85 mm in diameter, this lamp takes up little space and fits well in standard-height ceilings or even lower than usual. Unlike a pendant lamp, this type of luminaire does not invade the visual space of the room, which is a clear advantage in passageways or in environments where a clear ceiling is preferred.

The matte white finish is one of the details that makes these ceiling lights work in so many different contexts. White does not age visually, does not visibly accumulate dust, and pairs well with almost any shade of wall or floor. In a Nordic, Scandinavian, or minimalist style decoration, this type of lamp fits naturally. It also integrates without problems in more classic interiors where the aim is to update the lighting without altering the rest of the space.

Although it is primarily designed for indoor use, its aluminum construction gives it a solidity that is perceived from the very first moment. The net weight of 0.15 kg indicates that it is a very manageable piece during installation, without the need for special reinforcements in the ceiling.

Modern lights of this type have gained ground in apartment renovation and decoration projects because they offer a clean and durable solution. Combined on a bar or distributed in a line, they can create a continuous lighting effect along a hallway, the kitchen, or any other room. It is also common to see them installed in groups in bedrooms or living rooms where general lighting is desired without resorting to a central lamp.

This FARO recessed light uses GU10 LED bulbs, which are among the most efficient and easiest to find on the market. Since the bulb is not included, you can choose the color temperature that best suits each space: warm light for bedrooms, neutral or cool light for the kitchen or work areas.

Questions and answers

How many light points does this ceiling recessed lamp have?

This lamp has two independent light points with GU10 LED sockets. Each accepts a bulb of up to 8W, allowing the lighting to be directed toward different areas of the ceiling or room.

What hole diameter do I need to install this recessed light in the ceiling?

The total diameter of the lamp is 85 mm. Before making the hole in the ceiling, check the manufacturer's instructions, as the required cutting diameter may differ slightly from the total diameter of the luminaire.

Does the aluminum material of the body affect the heat generated during use?

Aluminum is a material that dissipates heat efficiently, which is beneficial in recessed lamps. This helps keep the lamp's temperature stable during operation and contributes to extending the lifespan of the bulbs.
