Overview

The FARO ceiling recessed light is a two-light fixture made of aluminum with a matte black finish. It is installed directly into the ceiling, with no visible elements protruding except the body of the lamp itself. It is a solution designed for interiors where a clean and tidy design is sought, with no cables or structures interrupting the visual line of the space.

This type of lamp fits well in the kitchen, bedroom, dining room, or any room where spot lighting is desired without sacrificing a modern style. The matte black finish gives it a neutral yet distinctive character — something that doesn't go unnoticed without being excessive.

FARO is a Spanish company with a long track record in lighting for home and interior design projects. Their products combine solid materials with a modern design, intended both for private individuals and for those seeking a quality lamp for a well-resolved space.

Installation and specifications

To install this ceiling lamp, a hole must be made in the ceiling with the appropriate dimensions for the recessed light's diameter. Before starting any electrical work, make sure to cut the power supply at the breaker panel. The connection requires that wiring be available at the installation point. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, it is recommended that the assembly be carried out by a qualified electrician. Once connected, the lamp sits flush with the ceiling surface, with no protrusions.

For maintenance, clean the aluminum body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the matte black finish. The GU10 LED bulb is not included, so you will need to purchase it separately before using the lamp.

Design and use

The FARO recessed ceiling lamp has a compact body made of aluminum, a lightweight and durable material that ensures longevity without adding unnecessary weight to the ceiling structure. With dimensions of 85 x 85 x 55 mm, it is a low-profile lamp that becomes practically integrated into the ceiling, without protruding.

The matte black finish is one of the most appreciated features of this type of recessed light. It does not reflect light, does not accumulate visible marks with daily use, and pairs well with white, grey, or even dark-toned ceilings. It is an option that adapts to both modern-style interiors and more understated spaces where visual coherence is sought without effort.

With two lights, this lamp allows illumination to be directed at two different points. This is useful in work areas such as the kitchen, where precise light is needed over the countertop, or in the dining room, where each spotlight can be oriented according to the layout of the table. It also works well in bedrooms, especially when the aim is to avoid a central pendant lamp and opt for a cleaner ceiling design.

The GU10 LED socket is compatible with a wide variety of bulbs available on the market. You can choose warm light for bedrooms or more relaxed atmospheres, or neutral light for work areas. The maximum admitted power is 8 W per spotlight, allowing for contained energy consumption without sacrificing lighting quality.

Regarding voltage, it accepts between 100V and 240V, making it compatible with the standard electrical grid in Spain and most countries. This makes it suitable for use in homes as well as small offices or premises undergoing renovation.

Visually, this recessed light integrates easily into a spotlight bar or as a standalone element within a composition of recessed lights in the ceiling. If you have a modular lighting layout, this lamp can be added without disrupting the harmony of the whole. It also works as an independent solution in a hallway, a large bathroom, or a reading area in the living room.

The combination of matte black aluminum and flush-mounted design makes it a lamp that adds character without overwhelming the space. It is one of those modern luminaires that does not need to draw attention for its presence to be felt. Overall, it is a lamp that performs its function well, has a refined finish, and does not impose a specific style, making it easy to fit into different types of décor.

Questions and answers

Does this recessed lamp accept any GU10 bulb, or are there power restrictions?

The socket is GU10, compatible with most LED bulbs of that type available on the market. The maximum admitted power is 8 W per spotlight. Exceeding this value is not recommended to avoid straining the lamp.

Is there a risk of the matte black aluminum body showing marks or wear over time?

The matte black finish is less prone to showing fingerprints than glossy finishes. Occasional cleaning with a dry cloth is sufficient to keep it in good condition for a long time.

Is the lamp suitable only for ceiling installation, or can it be installed on a wall?

This recessed light is designed exclusively for ceiling mounting. The orientation of the spotlights and the geometry of the body are designed for that type of installation. Its use on walls or outdoors is not recommended.
