Overview

DOP is a round recessed lamp from the brand FARO, designed to be installed in the ceiling and provide warm, uniform lighting. Its color temperature of 2700K produces a light close to the tungsten tone, without coldness or visual harshness. It is an option designed for those who seek a modern design without giving up functionality.

This lamp fits well in bedrooms, kitchens and dining rooms, where warm light helps create a calm atmosphere. The white finish on the aluminum body gives it a clean look that easily integrates with smooth ceilings of different styles. The opal polycarbonate diffuser distributes the light without creating bright spots or sharp shadows.

FARO is a company with a long track record in the home lighting sector, recognized for combining quality materials with a refined style. Its products are present in renovation and decoration projects throughout Spain and in international markets.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this lamp, make sure the recess in the ceiling has the correct dimensions for a recessed fixture of this format. It is essential to cut the power supply before starting any work. If you have no experience with electrical installations, the most advisable thing is to have an electrician do it. The lamp operates at 220V–240V and already includes the LED light source, so you do not need to purchase any additional module.

To keep the lamp in good condition, clean the aluminum body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could affect the white finish. The polycarbonate diffuser is also easy to clean with a soft cloth. Do not handle the lamp while it is on or when the electrical installation is active.

Design and use

The DOP lamp by FARO is a circular recessed fixture designed for those who seek modern lights with a neutral and discreet finish. The body is made of aluminum, a material that combines strength with lightness, making both transport and ceiling installation easier. The net weight of 0.89 kg makes the structure manageable without losing solidity.

The opal polycarbonate diffuser is one of the elements that most influences the visual result. This type of finish disperses light evenly, avoiding the direct glare that a panel light with a transparent diffuser can produce. In spaces like the dining room or kitchen, where time is spent with active vision, this makes a real difference in comfort.

The temperature of 2700K places the illumination of this lamp in the warm range of the spectrum. It is the same tone associated with relaxed environments, similar to that of a classic incandescent bulb. In bedrooms, this type of light encourages the transition to rest. In dining rooms, it provides a warmth that makes spaces more welcoming during meals. In kitchens with light-toned finishes, the warm light enhances the materials without altering their natural appearance.

The modern, round design of the panel light fits smooth ceilings in both apartments and houses. The white finish is probably the most versatile: it does not compete with the wall color, does not draw attention to itself, and remains visually clean in any decorating style. Whether in minimalist or more updated classic interiors, this lamp becomes part of the ceiling without looking out of place.

The SMD LED module is already integrated into the lamp, which simplifies setup. There is no need to look for compatible bulbs or worry about the type of fitting. The maximum power of 33W offers sufficient performance to illuminate standard-sized rooms when several recessed fixtures are combined, or to reinforce general lighting alongside other modern ambient lights.

The possibility of using several panel lights in the same room is common in renovation projects. A grid layout on the ceiling of a living room, or a row of aligned recessed fixtures in a hallway, are practical and visually tidy solutions. The design of DOP, being round and free of decorative elements that draw attention, facilitates this repetition without making the overall result feel cluttered.

In home environments where style is a priority, this lamp works well because it does not impose its presence. It integrates, fulfills its function and lets the rest of the space speak. For those renovating a bedroom or adapting a kitchen to a more modern style, this type of recessed fixture is an option that does not require difficult aesthetic compromises.
