Overview

DOP is a recessed ceiling lamp from the brand FARO, made of aluminum with a white finish and opal diffuser. Its integrated LED light source emits a color temperature of 2700K, resulting in warm, uniform light that is easy on the eyes. The round, compact design makes this lamp a good fit for spaces where discreet and efficient lighting is desired.

Although the product name includes a reference to exterior, this is an interior recessed ceiling luminaire. It is installed flush with the ceiling, with no protruding parts, making it a practical option for the kitchen, dining room, bedroom, or any hallway. It takes up no visual space and keeps the ceiling clean and tidy.

FARO is a brand with a long track record in home lighting. Their products combine durable materials with a modern and functional style, designed for those who want to refresh their space without any hassle.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this ceiling lamp, check that the opening in the false ceiling or drywall panel has the correct dimensions for the model. Cut the circle to the exact measurement indicated by the manufacturer. Make sure the wiring is de-energized before you begin. If you have no experience with electrical installations, the safest option is to hire an electrician. The aluminum body is secured with the included springs or clips, which adjust to the thickness of the panel. The LED lamp is included, so you do not need to purchase any additional components.

To keep this lamp in good condition, clean the body and diffuser with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the white finish or the opal diffuser. Do not touch the LED module directly with your fingers. If the lamp stops working, do not attempt to tamper with the internal circuit: contact customer service.

Design and use

The body of this lamp is made of aluminum, a material that combines lightness with durability. It weighs just 0.41 kg, which makes handling during installation easier and reduces the load on the false ceiling. The white finish gives it a neutral appearance that adapts effortlessly to any type of ceiling, whether in light or dark tones.

The diffuser is made of opaline polycarbonate. This material distributes light evenly, without creating bright spots or harsh shadows. The result is soft lighting that fills the space in a balanced way. The color temperature of 2700K places this lamp in the warm range, similar to traditional incandescent light. It is a tone that feels pleasant in rest areas and in environments where a calm atmosphere is desired.

In the kitchen, a lamp like this works well for general lighting. Combined with more directional lights above the worktop, the overall effect is balanced. In the dining room, where warm light helps create a more welcoming atmosphere during meals, this type of recessed ceiling fixture fits naturally. If several light points are installed evenly distributed, the effect is clean and modern.

In bedrooms, the 2700K light creates a relaxed atmosphere. A recessed ceiling light prevents the lamp from visually interfering with the rest of the room, which is especially useful in small spaces or in bedrooms with low ceilings. It also fits well in hallways, entrance halls, or bathrooms where functional lighting is needed without elements that stand out too much.

The round design and white finish mean this model integrates well with modern, Nordic, or minimalist styles. If the space has moldings, furniture, or textiles in neutral tones, the white body goes unnoticed and does not disrupt the visual harmony. The understated style of this lamp is also compatible with more eclectic interiors, where it coexists with elements of wood, metal, or stone.

From a technical standpoint, the 15W SMD LED light source offers contained energy consumption. The operating voltage is 220V–240V, standard in Spain and most of Europe, so no adapter is needed. LED lights of this type have a long service life, which reduces the need for frequent replacements.

If you are renovating several rooms and are looking for visual consistency, the recessed fixtures in this range allow you to combine different light points under the same style. At a kitchen bar or kitchen island, installing several recessed lights in a row creates a uniform and orderly effect. This type of layout is common in renovation projects where modern and functional lighting is desired without resorting to pendant lamps.
