Overview

The FARO ceiling recessed light is a lamp designed for those looking for a clean and discreet lighting solution. It is installed in the ceiling without taking up visual space, without visible cables and without structures that interrupt the style of the ceiling. It is a suitable option for the bedroom, dining room, hallway or any room where you want a light integrated into the ceiling in an orderly way.

The body is made of aluminium with a matt white finish. This neutral tone allows the lamp to blend well in both modern interiors and simpler spaces. It does not compete with the rest of the room's design — it is simply there, fulfilling its function.

FARO is a brand with experience in home lighting. Its products combine modern design with durable materials, designed for everyday use without complications.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this lamp in the ceiling, check that the recessing hole has the right dimensions to accommodate the luminaire body. The GU10 light source is not included, so you will need to purchase it separately. The lamp accepts voltages between 100V and 240V, making it compatible with the standard electrical installation in Spain. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if a cut needs to be made in the ceiling or if working with existing wiring.

To keep the lamp in good condition, simply clean the aluminium body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the matt white finish. Do not handle the bulb or the inside of the lamp while the power is on.

Design and use

This FARO ceiling recessed lamp has a very low profile: with only 40 mm in height, it virtually disappears into the ceiling once installed. This makes it a good option for spaces where a pendant lamp does not fit, whether due to ceiling height or the type of atmosphere you want to create. The modern design of the matt white aluminium body does not draw attention to itself, which is precisely its strong point.

The use of aluminium as the main material is no coincidence. It is lightweight, durable and maintains its finish well over time. The matt white colour adapts to white or light-toned ceilings without creating contrast, something valued by those looking for integrated and clean lighting. In a bedroom, for example, that discretion is especially appreciated: the lamp does its job without becoming the visual focal point of the space. The same applies in guest bedrooms or children's rooms, where functional lighting without dominant decorative elements is often preferred.

In the kitchen, this type of recessed light works well above worktops or work areas, as it concentrates light where it is needed. Several lights distributed across a kitchen ceiling can replace a central lamp and provide more uniform and practical lighting. In the dining room, a group of recessed lights directed towards the table creates a comfortable atmosphere for meals without the need to install a suspended lamp.

The lamp is adjustable, allowing the light beam to be directed wherever it is needed most. This provides some flexibility when illuminating a specific area of the room, a picture on the wall, a shelf or a reading corner. This adjustment option is especially useful in spaces where the layout of the furniture changes over time.

The matt white finish combines well with door frames, mouldings and other interior elements in the same tone. In a Nordic or minimalist home-style setting, this type of luminaire fits effortlessly. It also works in more neutral interiors or in apartments where the goal is to maintain a clean and tidy style. It is not a striking lamp, but that is precisely what gives it versatility.

In terms of lighting as a whole, this recessed light is designed to be used in groups. Several fittings of the same model distributed across the ceiling create coherent and balanced lighting. This type of fitting is a common solution in home renovations where the aim is to modernise the lighting without changing the structure of the space. In a hallway or circulation area, three or four well-distributed recessed lights perfectly replace bulkier fittings of older design.

Compatibility with GU10 LED bulbs broadens the options when choosing colour temperature and brightness level. The options available on the market for this cap type are numerous, making it easy to adapt the lighting to the specific use of each space without depending on a specific type of bulb.

Questions and answers

Does the lamp include the GU10 bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The GU10 bulb is not included. You will need to purchase it separately. The lamp accepts any bulb with a GU10 cap that does not exceed 8 W of power.

What dimensions does the hole in the ceiling need to be to install this recessed light?

The lamp body measures 115 x 115 mm at its base and 40 mm in height. Consult the installation instructions for the exact diameter of the cut required, as it may differ slightly from the external dimensions of the body.

Can this lamp be used above a kitchen bar or a specific work area?

Yes. Being adjustable, it can be directed towards a kitchen bar or another specific surface. This makes it useful in areas where directed lighting is needed and not just general ceiling light.
