Overview

The FARO recessed ceiling spotlight is an indoor lamp designed to integrate into the ceiling without taking up visual space. Its aluminum body in a matte white finish fits well in both a modern kitchen and a bedroom with clean lines. It does not interrupt the space, does not accumulate dust on exposed surfaces, and does not distract attention from the rest of the interior.

This type of lamp works especially well when you want to direct light toward a specific point: a countertop, a dining table, a painting on the wall. Being adjustable, the spotlight can be rotated as needed, without changing the mounting position. This allows you to adjust the lighting at any time, even after installation.

FARO is a Spanish brand with extensive experience in home lighting. Its products follow a clear style: functional shapes, careful finishes, and compatibility with common usage standards. This lamp reflects that approach: without excess, with everything necessary to work well.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this lamp, it is necessary to prepare an opening in the ceiling with the appropriate dimensions for the recessed ring. Being a recessed ceiling spotlight, it requires a false ceiling or sufficient space in the structure to accommodate the body of the luminaire. The electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician. The GU10 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately. Make sure the chosen bulb does not exceed the maximum power of 8 W indicated.

To clean the surface of the spotlight, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive products or liquids that could damage the matte white aluminum finish. Before any cleaning or handling, make sure the lamp is switched off and disconnected from the power supply.

Design and use

The design of this recessed ceiling fixture starts from a simple idea: that the lamp should not be seen, but its effect should be felt. The matte white aluminum body blends into the ceiling, and what remains visible is only the circle of the ring and the adjustable spotlight inside. It is a modern design conceived not to compete with the rest of the space, but to complete it.

The orientation of the spotlight is one of the most useful features in daily use. In a kitchen, it can be directed toward the work area. In a dining room, it can point directly at the table to create a more concentrated light during meals. In a bedroom, it can be focused toward the nightstand or toward a reading corner. That possibility of adjustment makes this lamp a flexible lighting tool within the home.

In bedrooms, this type of modern lighting works especially well when installed in parallel rows or in combination with other light sources. They do not generate harsh shadows and allow the atmosphere to be modulated depending on how they are oriented. They are also practical in hallways or entryways where directed lighting is sought without elements protruding from the ceiling.

The recessed format also has a clear advantage in spaces with low ceilings: by integrating into the surface, it does not reduce the perceived height of the ceiling. This makes it especially useful in apartments or in rooms where any hanging lamp would reduce the sense of spaciousness. The conventional ceiling light can also be used in those cases, but the recessed fixture offers a cleaner integration and a more modern style.

In terms of materials, aluminum is a solid choice for this type of luminaire. It is lightweight, durable, and maintains its finish without deteriorating over time. The total weight of the lamp is less than 150 grams, which facilitates installation and poses no load on the ceiling structure. Larger ceiling lights tend to weigh considerably more; in contrast, this compact format is easier to handle during mounting.

Compatibility with GU10 LED bulbs adds another point in its favor. This type of light source is efficient, lasts many on/off cycles, and is available in different color temperatures. This allows choosing between warmer light for a bedroom or cooler light for a kitchen or workspace, with the same luminaire. The operating voltage accepts between 100V and 240V, making it compatible with standard electrical installations in most countries.

Aesthetically, matte white works with almost any interior style: it is neutral in Nordic finishes, fits in minimalist design spaces, and does not clash in more classic interiors if the rest of the ceiling is also white. As for the spotlight's orientation bar, it allows a range of movement that covers the most common angles without the need for complicated adjustments.

This recessed fixture can also be combined with other identical spotlights to create a bar or grid arrangement. In a living room or a large kitchen, this configuration distributes light evenly and gives the ceiling a neat appearance. Visual consistency among several light points of the same model improves the final result without the need for additional decorative elements.

Questions and answers

Can the recessed spotlight be directed toward different angles once installed?

Yes. The spotlight is adjustable, which means it can be rotated after installation to direct the light toward the desired point. There is no need to modify the mounting to change its position.

What type of bulb do I need to purchase separately for this recessed fixture?

This lamp is compatible with GU10 LED base bulbs. The bulb is not included with the product and must be purchased separately. The maximum accepted power is 8 W.

What diameter opening do I need to make in the ceiling to install this luminaire?

The total diameter of the recessed fixture is 114 mm. The installation opening in the ceiling must match that measurement. Before making the cut, consult the manufacturer's instructions or an installer to confirm the exact dimensions of the required cutout.
