Overview

The FARO WHIZZ lamp is a suspension luminaire designed for interiors where finish matters as much as light. This multiple canopy version with 7 lights combines steel in black with satin gold, a contrast that fits well in both renovated spaces and environments that mix styles. The visual result is neat and, at the same time, with its own personality.

It hangs from the ceiling with a canopy that groups the seven outputs, giving it a clean look without tangled cables. It is an option designed for those who want a pendant lamp that works as a focal point of the room without overloading the space.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior and exterior lighting. Their products are designed for real projects, in homes and spaces where design and functionality must go hand in hand.

Installation and specifications

To install this pendant lamp on the ceiling, it is recommended to have an existing ceiling light point. The fixing is via a multiple canopy, which must be anchored to an electrical box or plug firmly attached to the ceiling. Since the lamp accepts voltages between 100V and 240V, it is compatible with the standard electrical installation in Spain and in most countries. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially when dealing with a pendant with several light outputs from a single canopy.

To keep the lamp in good condition, clean the steel surfaces with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or those with acidic components that could affect the black finish or the satin gold. The E27 LED bulb is not included; when choosing it, take into account the maximum indicated power of 15W per light point.

Design and use

The WHIZZ collection was born from the work of designer Christoph Friedrich Wagner, and it shows in every detail that there is a clear intention behind the form. It is not a generic ceiling lamp: the satin gold and black finishes are chosen to work together, without either one dominating the other. The steel body adds solidity to the whole, and the combination of materials gives it a defined, oval character that is perceptible even from a distance.

This 7-light pendant version is especially useful in large spaces where a single ceiling lamp would not be sufficient to distribute the light in a balanced way. A dining room with a large table is one of the environments where it fits best: the seven outputs illuminate the work surface without creating shadows concentrated at a single point. It also works well in an open-plan design kitchen, where the ceiling is usually at a good height and the lamp can spread out without interfering with foot traffic.

In a living room, this type of pendant can replace a characterless ceiling light, adding volume and visual presence to the space. It does not need specific furniture around it to look good; the contrast between black and satin gold makes it fit with both light woods and darker finishes. If the living room has metallic elements in the chairs, shelves or picture frames, the golden finish of the lamp picks them up naturally.

In a bedroom, it works well centered above the bed, especially if the space is tall enough that the pendant does not hang too low. The total height of 1760 mm allows the drop to be adjusted according to the floor clearance needed. For a bedroom with a standard 2.5-metre ceiling, it is worth calculating that measurement carefully before installing it.

The black finish of the steel body has a modern look that does not depend on passing trends. It is a color that holds up well over time visually and aesthetically, and that combines with Nordic environments, with interiors of more industrial lines, or with spaces that mix styles without a fixed rule. The satin gold, for its part, adds warmth without feeling excessive, because it does not reflect light aggressively as a shiny gold would.

The E27 LED lights that this model accepts allow you to choose the color temperature according to the atmosphere you want to create. A warm light in the dining room or bedroom, and a more neutral one in the kitchen or hallway. With seven light points, the distribution is generous, and the lamp can work well even in considerably sized rooms. A large bathroom or a walk-in wardrobe with good ceiling height could also be suitable spaces for this pendant, as long as the electrical installation allows it.

Questions and answers

Does the multiple canopy allow the drop height of each arm to be adjusted independently?

The WHIZZ lamp has a multiple canopy that groups the seven outputs from a single anchor point on the ceiling. The total height of the assembly is 1760 mm, but no independent adjustments per arm are indicated in the specifications. If you need a specific height, consult the instructions included with the product.

Does the 100V–240V voltage make this lamp compatible with electrical installations outside Spain?

Yes. The admitted voltage range covers both 110V and 220–240V installations, so it is compatible with most domestic electrical systems internationally, without the need for voltage adapters.

Is the satin gold finish resistant to frequent contact or can it deteriorate with use?

The satin gold finish is applied to the main material of the lamp. To keep it in good condition, simply clean it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid aggressive or abrasive cleaning products that could affect the surface over time.
