It was designed by Adolfo Abejón and manufactured by FARO, a brand with a long track record in interior lighting. The shade is made of ceramic and handcrafted in a workshop in Barcelona. This is evident in the small details of each unit. This version features a multiple canopy with five lights, which allows a larger surface to be covered from a single ceiling installation point. It is a solid alternative for those who need good lighting without resorting to several independent lamps.

The steel structure in a gloss black finish gives it substance without adding visual weight. FARO takes care of this balance in its products: the lamp has a presence in the space, but does not dominate it.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the lamp, check that the ceiling point is prepared to support the weight of the assembly. With 1.67 kg distributed across five anchor points, the fixing must be securely fastened to the ceiling structure. If you have any doubts about the resistance of the support, consult an electrician before proceeding. The wiring must be connected with the installation switched off and following the manufacturer's instructions.

To clean the ceramic shade, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the finish. The steel structure can be dry-cleaned with a microfibre cloth. Do not wet the electrical connections or the cable junction points.

Design and use

The VENICE lamp has an oval shape that gives it character without feeling overdone. That oval silhouette is one of the features that sets it apart within FARO's range of pendant luminaires. It is not a shape you see everywhere, and that makes it easy to turn it into the central element of a ceiling composition without the need to add other accessories.

The oval handcrafted ceramic shade has a presence of its own. Being handmade in Barcelona, each unit may present small variations that make it unique. The ceramic filters and softens the light, so the room is bathed in warm lighting without harsh contrasts. For a dining room, this type of light creates an atmosphere that invites you to sit down and stay.

Questions and answers

Does the five-light version require five independent anchor points in the ceiling?

No. The multiple canopy is installed from a single fixing point in the ceiling. The five pendant lamps extend from that central assembly, so you only need one electrical connection point and one main anchor.

Does the oval ceramic shade affect the direction of the light?

Yes. Ceramic is an opaque material, so light does not pass through it. The oval design directs the illumination downwards and laterally, generating a warm and concentrated distribution, with no dispersion towards the ceiling.

Is this lamp compatible with dimmer switches?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the type of E27 LED bulb you use, as the light source is not included. Check that the bulb you choose is dimmable before connecting it to a circuit with a dimmer.
