Design and use

The STUDIO pendant lamp exists in an intermediate space: it is not vintage in the nostalgic sense, nor modern in the colder sense of the term. It draws references from the 1950s, especially in the branch-shaped rod, and translates them into a piece that does not clash in a contemporary interior. That balance is one of the most interesting aspects of this ceiling luminaire.

The body is made of steel with a matte black finish, while the outer shade features a matte pink finish. The combination of both tones creates a restrained contrast, without stridency. No. This ceiling luminaire does not include a light source. It is necessary to purchase separately a bulb with an E27 cap, preferably LED type and with a maximum power of 15W.

Is the branch-shaped rod purely decorative or does it form part of the cable support structure?

The rod fulfils a structural function: it holds the cable that connects the pendant lamp to the ceiling. At the same time, its organic shape is the distinguishing element of the STUDIO collection, designed by Nahtrang for FARO.

Is the oval diameter of 290 mm sufficient to illuminate a standard dining table?

This L-size pendant lamp with an oval shade and 290 mm diameter is designed for directed and ambient lighting. To cover the entire surface of a large dining table it may be necessary to combine it with other lights or install several units in a row.
