Installation and specifications

Before installing the pendant lamp, make sure that the ceiling point where you are going to anchor it can support the weight of the assembly. Although it is a lightweight piece, the suspension cable must be properly secured from the start. Cut the electrical supply before making any connections. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, it is best to have an electrician do it. The lamp supports voltages between 100V and 240V, making it compatible with the standard electrical grid. Remember that the E14 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.

To keep the lamp in good condition, clean the matte copper surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the finish. Do not use water directly on the connections or on the lamp holder. When you need to change the bulb, always disconnect the lamp from the power supply before handling it.

Design and use

The RETRO lamp has an oval and compact silhouette, with a diameter of 115 mm. That size makes it versatile: it does not take up too much visually, but it still has presence. The total height of the assembly, including the cable, reaches 1740 mm, which allows it to be adjusted to different ceiling heights depending on the space where it is installed.

The body is made of steel with a matte copper finish. This finish has a distinctive feature: it does not reflect light aggressively, but rather absorbs it slightly, creating a warm tone around the pendant lamp. Matte copper ages well over time and maintains its appearance without the need for special maintenance. It is a material that feels both approachable and durable.

The oval shape of the housing is directly related to the vintage aesthetic of the 1960s, which is the main reference for this collection. There is something about that simple geometry that works in very different spaces. In a dining room, it can hang above the table and become the focal point of the room. In a living room with clean-lined furniture, the oval shape introduces an organic counterpoint without clashing. In a kitchen, it adds a characterful detail without overloading the atmosphere.

It also fits well in a bedroom, especially if the rest of the furniture has warm tones or natural finishes. The pendant lamp at a low height, next to the bed or above a side table, generates a more intimate light than that of a central ceiling light. If the room has high ceilings, the long cable allows it to be lowered to the exact point where the light is most useful.

The E14 socket accepts LED bulbs of up to 8 W. With this type of light source, efficient and long-lasting illumination is achieved. The color temperature of the bulb you choose will largely determine the final atmosphere: a warm LED reinforces the retro character of the piece, while a neutral light gives a more contemporary result.

The RETRO collection is designed for indoor residential use. It is not a luminaire intended for bathrooms or areas with high humidity, although it can be installed in a bathroom if the light point is away from the shower or bathtub and the space has adequate ventilation. In that case, always consult local regulations on electrical installation in wet areas.

The lamp works well both in individual installations and in groups. Three or four oval pendants at different heights above a long table create a staggered lighting effect that is very common in vintage or Nordic-style interiors. It also combines effortlessly with materials such as wood or iron, which often appear in the same environments where a piece of these characteristics makes sense.

Does the suspension cable allow the height of the lamp to be adjusted?

Yes. The total height of the assembly is 1740 mm, but the cable can be gathered from the anchor point on the ceiling to place the pendant lamp at the height you need.

Does the matte copper finish require any special product for maintenance?

No specific product is needed. Simply clean the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Abrasive products can damage the finish, so it is best to avoid them.

Is the E14 LED bulb included in the package?

No. The light source is not included. A bulb with an E14 socket and a maximum power of 8 W must be purchased separately.
