Overview

The LUMINA 600 pendant by FARO is a ceiling pendant designed for those looking for something specific: a light that integrates into the space without imposing itself, while still having presence. It is installed on the ceiling and hangs vertically, with an elongated oval shape that is hard to ignore even though it is subtle in proportions.

It is a good option for the dining room, living room, or bedroom. It also fits in hallways where the height allows it. The lamp provides warm light at 2700K, that tone perceived as visual rest, without coldness or excessive whiteness.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. Their products reach various European markets and are known for combining quality materials with practical solutions. The LUMINA 600 pendant reflects that way of working: without unnecessary complications, with attention to detail.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the pendant, check that the light point on the ceiling is compatible with the included fixing system. It is recommended that the installation be carried out by an electrician, as it involves direct connection to the mains. The supported voltage is 220V-240V. Please note that the LED light source is not included, so you will need to purchase it separately.

To clean the lamp, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents on the transparent body and the opal diffuser. Always disconnect the power before handling the accessory or changing the bulb. Do not touch the light source with bare hands if it is of the contact-sensitive type.

Design and use

The LUMINA 600 pendant has a very distinct oval shape, narrow and elongated. Its dimensions are 635 mm in height, 34 mm in length, and 30 mm in depth. That proportion makes the lamp appear lighter than it is, almost as if it floats from the ceiling rather than hanging from it.

The body is transparent, giving it a clean and structural appearance. It does not disappear into the surroundings, but it does not compete with the rest of the space either. The lamp can be seen as a graphic element: a suspended oval line that changes in appearance depending on the angle from which it is viewed.

The diffuser is made of PC with an opal finish. This material distributes light evenly, without bright spots or dark areas. The colour temperature of 2700K gives a warm tone, similar to that of classic incandescent light, which favours relaxation and social atmospheres.

In the bedroom, this type of light creates a calm atmosphere. In the dining room, paired with a long or round table, the oval lamp can be the visual centrepiece of the space. It also works well in the living room when combined with other lights, because it does not draw all the attention, but rather contributes to the whole.

The kitchen is another space where it can fit, especially above an island or a well-defined countertop. The oval shape of the lamp works well with linear surfaces. And although it is not the most common option for the bathroom, if the room has sufficient height and the installation is appropriate, the result can be interesting.

The installation is ceiling-mounted, with a cable that descends to where the module is located. That free suspension is part of the design: the lamp does not try to hide the cable, but incorporates it as a visible and clean element.

The overall finish works well with modern interiors, with spaces where neutral materials predominate: concrete, light wood, white or grey metal. It also integrates into Nordic or minimalist design environments, where each piece must justify itself on its own.

The SMD LED bulb is not included, which allows you to choose the wattage that best suits each space. The maximum supported power is 60W. That leaves room to adjust the intensity according to use. Compatibility with LED lights means energy consumption can be kept low without sacrificing lighting quality.

As for possible combinations, the lights from this lamp can be complemented with wall sconces or indirect light strips. The result is a layered atmosphere, where not everything comes from the same point. In open or dual-purpose spaces, this helps define zones without using walls or physical dividers.

Questions and answers

Does the LUMINA 600 lamp include the LED light source?

No, the light source is not included. You will need to purchase it separately. The lamp supports up to 60W and is compatible with SMD LED technology.

What colour temperature does this pendant have and for which environments is it suitable?

The colour temperature is 2700K, which corresponds to warm light. It is suitable for the bedroom, dining room, or living room, where a calm and welcoming atmosphere is desired.

Does the diffuser material affect the quality of the light distributed in the room?

Yes. The diffuser is made of PC with an opal finish, which allows light to be distributed evenly. This prevents direct glare and softens the illumination throughout the room.
