Overview

The LUMINA 600 pendant light by FARO is a ceiling pendant designed for those who want lighting to be part of the space's design, not just illuminate it. Its oval silhouette and transparent finish make it a piece that integrates effortlessly into different types of environments: from a large dining room to a room with a more carefully considered style.

The integrated LED module emits warm light at 2700K, producing that soft, enveloping tone that is comfortable on the eyes during rest hours or at dinners with little additional light. The structure is simple in its construction but free in its application: it can be used alone or combined with other units to create compositions on the ceiling.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior lighting. Its products combine technical criteria with a coherent aesthetic approach, designed for the real home.

Installation and specifications

To install this ceiling pendant, an existing junction box is required or the light point must be prepared before assembly. Since the light source is not included, a compatible SMD LED bulb must be purchased before installation. It is recommended that electrical work be carried out by a professional, especially if there is no prior experience with ceiling connections. Make sure to cut the power before handling any wiring.

The transparent surface of the body and the opal PC diffuser do not require aggressive products for cleaning. A soft, slightly damp cloth is sufficient to remove dust or surface stains. Avoid cleaners containing alcohol or solvents, as they can damage the finish. Do not wet the lamp directly or clean it while the power is connected.

Design and use

The LUMINA 600 works with an oval geometry that gives it presence without aggressively occupying visual space. The shape is discreet in its outline but recognizable from any point in the room. This makes it useful both in spaces with plenty of natural light and in areas where artificial lighting plays a more prominent role.

The transparent body allows the structure to remain almost invisible, and what is perceived is the light and the oval silhouette of the diffuser. The opal PC diffuser distributes light evenly, without creating concentration points or harsh shadows. This is especially useful in a living room or dining room where balanced general lighting is sought without installing multiple spotlights.

The color temperature of 2700K produces warm light, close to that of old incandescent bulbs. It is a tone that feels natural in residential environments: not as cold as office lighting nor so yellow that it distorts the colors of the surroundings. It works well above a kitchen table, in the reading area of a bedroom, or as the main light point in a medium-sized room.

As a ceiling pendant with a height of 635 mm, it occupies a vertical space that must be taken into account in low-ceiling rooms. In standard ceilings of 2.5 meters or more, the resulting distance is suitable for everyday use without interfering with movement. In spaces with higher ceilings, such as living rooms with double height, it can be combined with other lights from the same line to create a staggered composition.

The ceiling mounting is direct, which simplifies installation and keeps everything tidy. There are no decorative elements that distort the product's line: everything follows a design logic where what is not needed does not appear. This makes it an option that adapts well both to modern and minimalist interiors and to more eclectic spaces where a neutral point is sought that does not compete with the rest of the furniture.

The diffuser material, opal polycarbonate, is impact-resistant and maintains its appearance over time without yellowing. Unlike glass, which can break more easily, PC offers durability without sacrificing light diffusion quality.

The lamp operates at 220V-240V, which is the domestic standard in Spain and most of Europe. It does not require adapters or special electrical installations, provided the light point is already prepared in the ceiling.

As for combining with other elements in the home, the transparent finish of the LUMINA 600 pairs well with materials such as light wood, matte metal, or lacquered surfaces. It also fits in spaces where there is glass or elements with glossy finishes, since the body does not add visual noise but rather dissolves into the whole. It is a lamp that lets the rest of the space speak.

Questions and answers

Is the LUMINA 600 diffuser made of glass or another material?

The diffuser is not made of glass but of polycarbonate (PC) with an opal finish. This material is more impact-resistant than glass and maintains uniform light diffusion without yellowing over time.

What is the total height of the pendant and how does it affect the space?

The lamp has a height of 635 mm from the mounting point on the ceiling. In spaces with ceilings of 2.5 meters or more, the resulting distance to the floor is comfortable for everyday use without risk of interference.

Is the LED light source included with the product?

No, the light source is not included. A compatible SMD LED bulb must be purchased separately before installing the lamp on the ceiling.
