Overview

The FARO KOMBO lamp is a ceiling pendant luminaire designed for spaces where style matters as much as function. Its beige metal shade has a clean cylindrical shape that fits effortlessly into modern or classic interiors. This version includes a multiple canopy for a single light, making it ideal when a specific lighting point is needed without overwhelming the space.

The design of the KOMBO series starts from a simple premise: clear geometry, balanced proportions, and a combination of finishes that work in different contexts. The matte black upper part contrasts with the beige shade in a natural way, without looking striking or artificial. It is a pendant lamp that needs no justification in the space — it simply fits.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in lighting. Their products combine design and manufacturing criteria oriented toward real domestic use, with attention to finishes and material durability.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this ceiling lamp, make sure to cut the power at the electrical panel. The multiple canopy is fixed directly to the ceiling using the corresponding anchors. It is recommended to verify that the fixing surface can support the weight of the assembly. For the electrical connection, consult a professional if you have no experience with ceiling installations. The suspension cable allows you to adjust the height of the luminaire according to the distance to the work surface or table.

For maintenance, clean the shade with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the metal finish. Do not handle the bulb with unprotected hands, as grease can affect its lifespan. Periodically check that the ceiling fixing elements are properly tightened.

Design and use

The KOMBO lamp is a ceiling pendant with an oval cylindrical shade in beige and an upper structure in steel with a matte black finish. The combination of these two elements creates a visual contrast that is not harsh: the black contains, the oval shade opens. Together they form a piece that feels complete from any angle.

The oval shade is made of metal, which gives it a clear physical presence. It is not a lamp that goes unnoticed, but neither does it dominate the space. Its compact size — 120 mm in diameter and 210 mm in height — makes it suitable for standard ceilings without looking disproportionate. It is a pendant luminaire that works well both on its own and as part of a composition with other lamps from the same series.

In the dining room, a lamp like this is usually placed above the table, at a height that illuminates the surface well without causing glare. The beige finish of the oval shade adds warmth to the atmosphere and blends with materials such as wood or linen. In the kitchen, it can be positioned above an island or countertop to concentrate light on a specific work point. Its simple design does not compete with other decorative elements.

In the living room, a pendant luminaire of this type can act as a complement to general lighting, creating differentiated zones within the space. Placed above a side table or in a reading corner, it defines the area without the need for a floor lamp. Its cylindrical profile with straight lines fits into modern-style interiors, but also in more classic settings where order and restraint are sought.

In the bedroom, the KOMBO lamp can replace conventional bedside tables or accompany them from the ceiling. A pendant on each side of the bed frees up surface space and gives a visually tidy result. The oval shade in beige blends well with neutral tones of bed linen and light-colored walls.

In the bathroom, provided the installation complies with applicable wet zone regulations, a lamp of this type can provide warm light above the washbasin or in an adjacent dressing area. The room gains character when the lighting is conceived as part of the design and not just as a functional solution.

The KOMBO series is available in different sizes and finishes, allowing several lamps to be combined within the same space without losing coherence. All share the same cylindrical upper structure in black, so a grouping of different lights maintains a common visual thread. This is particularly useful in open-plan spaces or in kitchens open to the living room, where aesthetic continuity carries a great deal of weight.

The E27 socket accepts LED bulbs of up to 15 W, placing this lamp in an efficient consumption range. The bulb is not included, which allows you to choose the color temperature that best suits the intended use: warm light for rest environments, neutral light for work areas. With a suitable LED bulb, the result is soft and controlled lighting.

Questions and answers

Does the multiple canopy of this lamp allow it to be installed on a ceiling without a pre-existing recessed box?

The multiple canopy is fixed directly to the ceiling surface. It does not require a recessed box, but there must be a cable outlet at the installation point. It is recommended that the fixing be carried out by an electrician to ensure proper securing and connection.

Does the oval metal shade affect the distribution of light downward?

The cylindrical oval shade concentrates light toward the lower area, creating a directed cone of illumination. It is suitable for lighting specific surfaces such as tables or countertops, but it is not designed to illuminate an entire space in a general way.

Does this pendant lamp support any type of E27 bulb or only LED?

The socket is standard E27, compatible with different types of bulb. The indicated maximum power is 15 W, so it is recommended not to exceed it. LED bulbs are the most suitable option due to their efficiency and low heat emission.
