Overview

The FARO DIANA 600 lamp is a hanging ceiling luminaire designed for those who seek accent lighting without visually overloading the space. Its elongated format and dark brown finish make it suitable for areas where light needs to be directed precisely: over a dining table, next to a bed, in a corner of the living room, or above a kitchen island.

The DIANA 600 pendant stands out for its very slim profile — only 32 mm in diameter — and its length of 600 mm. It takes up no space, does not distract, but it does define. It is the kind of lamp that visually organises an environment without imposing a specific style. The aluminium body with a transparent PC diffuser allows light to emerge cleanly, concentrated downward.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in the lighting sector. Its products are designed with functional and aesthetic criteria tailored to real domestic use.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the pendant lamp, check that the ceiling point is correctly wired and that the circuit is de-energised. The model is fixed to the ceiling using the included suspension system. Given the product's low weight — less than 1 kg — no special anchors are required, although it is always advisable to fix to the ceiling at a firm point. The SMD LED bulb is not included, so it must be purchased separately before first use. If you have any doubts about the electrical installation, consult an electrician.

To clean the aluminium body, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the dark brown finish. The PC diffuser can be cleaned in the same way. Do not handle the lamp while the power is connected. Periodically check the condition of the suspension cable.

Design and use

The DIANA 600 is a pendant ceiling lamp with a very discreet linear profile. The body is made of aluminium, a lightweight and durable material that retains its finish well over time. The dark brown colour gives it a warm presence without being eye-catching — it integrates easily into spaces where natural tones, wood, linen, or matte surfaces predominate.

The transparent PC diffuser concentrates light downward, making this lamp a useful tool for accent lighting. It is not a lamp designed to illuminate an entire room, but rather to highlight a specific point: a table, an object, a work or reading area. That is its function, and it fulfils it without requiring any additional elements.

In the dining room, one or several pendant units above the table create a defined atmosphere without saturating the ceiling with light. The colour temperature of 2700K produces a warm light, similar to that of a traditional incandescent bulb, which encourages relaxed environments. In the kitchen, above a worktop or an island, the DIANA 600 pendant provides directed light where it is most needed.

In the bedroom it works well as a suspended bedside lamp. It avoids taking up space on the bedside table and keeps the rest area tidy. In the living room it can be used in groups of two or three units at different heights to create an interesting visual effect without appearing cluttered. In the bathroom, provided the electrical installation complies with regulations for wet zones, it can be used as a light point above the mirror or washbasin, although it is advisable to verify this with a technician before installing it in that environment.

The elongated and narrow design of this lamp also fits well in hallways or passageways where width is limited. Its silhouette does not interfere with movement and provides spot lighting that can be very useful in those areas.

The combination of aluminium and transparent diffuser gives it an appearance that leans toward the industrial without being strictly an industrial lamp. It also coexists well with Nordic-style interiors or modern environments where visual order and unadorned materials are sought. The dark brown colour, in particular, connects well with warm palettes and wooden surfaces, without needing to find an exact colour match.

Questions and answers

Is the SMD LED bulb included in the package?

No. The SMD LED light source is not included and must be purchased separately. Make sure to choose a bulb compatible with the maximum power of 6W and the voltage of 220V–240V.

What is the colour temperature of this pendant lamp and what kind of atmosphere does it create?

The DIANA 600 is designed to work with a colour temperature of 2700K, which corresponds to warm white light. This range is common in residential spaces where a calm and welcoming atmosphere is desired.

Is the PC diffuser on this ceiling lamp more impact-resistant compared to glass?

Yes. Polycarbonate (PC) is considerably more resistant to impacts than conventional glass. It offers greater durability in everyday use while maintaining a similar transparent appearance.
