Installation and specifications

The included tension cable allows the direction of the pendant to be adjusted if the light point is not centered with respect to the area to be illuminated. Installation must be carried out by an electrician or a person with basic electrical knowledge. Make sure to cut the power before starting any connection.

The papyrus shade requires simple care: just remove dust with a dry cloth or a soft brush. Avoid contact with water or liquid cleaning products on the diffuser. The steel body can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasives. The bulb is not included; an LED light source with an E27 socket and a maximum power of 15 W is recommended.

Design and use

The CONGA collection was born from FARO's in-house design studio, Faro Lab, with the goal of creating suspension luminaires that work well in domestic spaces as well as in hospitality projects. The lamp has a steel structure in a matte black finish, which provides visual solidity without adding weight to the overall piece. The oval white papyrus shade filters light gently and creates a warm atmosphere around the illuminated area.

The oval shade measures 500 mm in both length and depth, giving it a balanced presence above any surface. It is not a small lamp, but it does not feel excessive either. In a dining room, hung above the table, it creates that focal point of light that defines the space without the need for other decorative elements. In a living room, it can serve as the central point of a reading or conversation area.

The ceiling is the only anchoring point, and the tension cable makes installation flexible. If the light point is offset from the center of the dining table, the pendant can be oriented without any problem. This is especially useful in renovations where it is not always possible to move the ceiling electrical outlet.

The lamp accepts an LED bulb with an E27 socket. Modern LED lights allow you to choose between different color temperatures, which gives room to adapt the atmosphere according to the use of the space. A warm light, for example, works well in a bedroom or in a rest area of the living room. A more neutral light may work better in the kitchen or in a workspace.

The oval papyrus shade is the element that most defines the character of this luminaire.
