Overview

CLAIRE is a hanging ceiling lamp designed for interior spaces where a distinctive character is sought without sacrificing functionality. Its black gloss metal structure, combined with a grid section, gives it a solid and well-defined appearance. The round and oval shape of the luminaire is reminiscent of the lamps that lit fishing boats: a direct reference to a world of honest materials and warm light over the water.

This hanging lamp works well both in a dining room and in a kitchen with sufficient ceiling height. It also fits in a bedroom or living room where a light source with visual presence is desired without overwhelming the atmosphere. It is available in other colors and has a multiple ceiling rose version for installations with five lights.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior and exterior lighting. Its products combine design criteria with quality materials, built to last and adapt to different domestic environments.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this hanging lamp, make sure the ceiling has an anchor point capable of supporting the weight of the assembly. Cut the power supply before handling any connections. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, it is recommended that the installation be carried out by a professional. The total height of the lamp is 1640 mm, so it is advisable to measure the available space before fixing it to the ceiling to avoid it hanging too low.

To clean the metal structure, use a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the black gloss finish. Do not handle the lamp with the power on. The E27 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.

Design and use

The CLAIRE lamp by FARO starts from a simple idea: recovering the aesthetic of the lights used on fishing vessels and bringing it into the home. This reference translates into an oval shape and a metal grid reminiscent of the protective covers typical of working environments or the sea. The result is a pendant luminaire with an industrial character that is, at the same time, capable of integrating into contemporary domestic settings.

The structure is made of steel with a black gloss finish. This type of finish captures artificial light well and generates subtle reflections that enliven the surface without being excessive. The oval shape of the main body gives the lamp a recognizable and orderly profile, different from the more generic options found on the market.

In the dining room, a hanging lamp of this type works well above an elongated table, especially if the space has a modern or industrial style. It also fits in an open kitchen where the light source above the island or the bar needs an element with visual presence. In the living room, placed in a corner or above a side table, it adds a different tone to the general lighting.

For the bedroom, it can be installed as a suspended bedside lamp, provided the cable is the appropriate length and the ceiling allows it. In a room with a modern style or vintage touches, the black finish and metal grid contrast well with light textures such as wood or linen. In a bathroom, if installation conditions allow, it can be used in areas away from the shower or bathtub.

The version with a multiple ceiling rose of five lights expands the possibilities of this lamp. It allows larger spaces to be covered with several coordinated units, or an asymmetrical composition to be created above a long table. This option is particularly useful in large dining rooms or living rooms with high ceilings where a single lamp would not be sufficient.

The E27 socket is compatible with most LED bulbs available on the market. Although the bulb is not included, the choice of color temperature allows the atmosphere to be adjusted: a warm light reinforces the welcoming tone suggested by the lamp's design, while a more neutral light works better in workspaces or kitchens.

The lamp is available in other colors, making it easy to adapt to different interior combinations without changing the model. The oval design and grid structure are maintained across all versions, ensuring visual consistency if several units are installed in the same space.

Questions and answers

Is the CLAIRE lamp suitable for standard-height ceilings, given its total length of 1640 mm?

With a total height of 1640 mm, this hanging lamp requires a ceiling of at least 2.5 meters to hang at a comfortable height above head level. In standard-height ceilings between 2.5 and 2.7 meters, it is worth measuring carefully before installing it to ensure the distance to the floor is adequate.

Is the lamp cable adjustable in length?

The available data does not specify whether the cable is adjustable. It is recommended to consult the seller or review the manufacturer's technical documentation before purchase if this aspect is crucial for your installation.

What type of LED bulb is compatible with the E27 socket of this lamp?

The E27 socket is one of the most common in the domestic market. It accepts LED bulbs in that format with a maximum power of 15 W. The bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.
