Overview

The ANNA pendant lamp by FARO is a solution designed for those looking for precise and discreet accent lighting. It is installed on the ceiling and directs attention toward a specific point: a dining table, a kitchen island, a reading corner. It is not intended to illuminate the entire room, but to create a defined zone of light within a larger space.

The body is made of aluminium with a white finish, with a transparent PMMA diffuser. The visual result is clean and restrained. Nothing stands out, nothing distracts. The lamp simply sits there, doing its job without drawing too much attention to itself.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in interior lighting. Their products are aimed at domestic spaces where detail matters: durable materials, well-calibrated light, and a finish that does not look out of place over time.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the lamp, check that the connection point on the ceiling has adequate structural support. Although the product weight is low, it is worth ensuring that the existing wiring meets the specified voltage requirements. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Before any electrical work, always disconnect the power supply at the main panel.

To clean the lamp, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the white aluminium finish or the PMMA diffuser. Do not handle the lamp while the power is connected. Periodically check the condition of the cable and the ceiling mounting points.

Design and use

The ANNA lamp has an oval shape that gives it a compact and balanced presence. With a total diameter of only 80 mm, it fits well in spaces where other pendant lamps would be too bulky. The oval shape is not just an aesthetic decision: it also helps to concentrate the light downward in a uniform manner, without dispersing it excessively to the sides.

The white aluminium body is robust without feeling heavy. The material withstands everyday use well and maintains its appearance over time without requiring special care. The white finish allows the lamp to integrate effortlessly into light-coloured ceilings, neutral walls, or environments dominated by cool or natural tones. It is the kind of pendant luminaire that disappears visually when it is off, and appears softly when it is on.

The transparent PMMA diffuser allows the LED light source inside to be seen, giving the lamp an appearance closer to that of a traditional bulb without its drawbacks. The colour temperature of 2700K produces a warm light, similar to incandescent light. That tone does not tire the eyes and is especially suitable at night, when a more relaxed atmosphere is desired. In a bedroom, that type of light helps to mark the transition from activity to rest. In a living room, it contributes to creating a more intimate atmosphere around a specific area.

In the kitchen, a pendant lamp like this works well above the worktop or above a small side table. It does not replace general lighting, but adds a functional and well-defined point of light where it is needed. In the dining room, placed above the table, it visually anchors the space and gives the dining area its own identity within the room.

It can also be used in a bathroom with sufficient ceiling height, provided the installation complies with safety regulations in damp areas. In that context, the white finish and oval shape adapt well to both more modern styles and interiors with more classic or Nordic details. The simplicity of the lamp makes it compatible with many types of décor without creating visual tension.

In a single bedroom or a home workspace, this pendant lamp can act as supplementary lighting alongside a floor lamp or recessed lighting. It takes up no space on the desk or on the floor, and its presence on the ceiling is neat and coherent. It is the kind of light that goes unnoticed until it is switched off, and then it is missed.

The combination of aluminium and PMMA gives it genuine durability. Neither of the two materials deteriorates easily over time or with the temperature changes typical in a home. The included LED has a consumption of 4W, making the energy cost practically negligible. The light source is already integrated, so there is no need to purchase anything additional to get it up and running.

Questions and answers

Is the PMMA diffuser of the ANNA lamp resistant to impacts compared to glass?

Yes. PMMA is a material more resistant to impacts than conventional glass. In the event of an accidental knock, it is less likely to shatter into fragments, making it safer in domestic environments with everyday use.

Is a colour temperature of 2700K suitable for working or studying?

Light at 2700K is warm and produces a more relaxed atmosphere than cool or neutral light. It is more appropriate for rest areas, dining rooms, or living rooms than for tasks requiring high concentration. For a workspace, it could be complemented with another light source at a higher colour temperature.

Does the ANNA pendant lamp work with a dimmer switch?

The manufacturer's specifications do not indicate compatibility with dimming systems. To confirm whether the included LED is dimmable, it is advisable to consult directly with the manufacturer or customer service before installing it with a dimmer.
