VENICE is a pendant lamp designed for those looking for something specific: a light source that doesn't go unnoticed, but doesn't compete with the rest of the space either. It hangs from the ceiling naturally and becomes the visual center of the room effortlessly.

The oval ceramic shade is handmade in a workshop in Barcelona. You can tell from the small details, in the way the light is distributed from the inside, in the texture of the finish. It is not a mass-produced piece. Each unit carries something of the handcrafted work that made it possible.

This version includes a multiple canopy for three lights, which allows covering long tables or large spaces with a single set. The oval shape of the shade complements that type of linear arrangement well. It is also available in black, pink, cobalt blue, and striped, in case the gloss white doesn't fit what you have in mind.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior lighting. Their products combine careful design with quality materials, and VENICE is a good example of that way of working.

Installation and specifications

For installation, it is advisable to check the condition of the ceiling before fitting the canopy. The anchor point must be solid, especially if the ceiling is made of drywall or has a coating. The lamp connects to the existing electrical box. If you have no experience with electrical installations, the safest option is to hire an electrician. The wiring must be disconnected from the power supply throughout the entire process.

The ceramic shade does not require special products for cleaning. A dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient to remove dust. Avoid abrasive products and large amounts of liquid. The steel body in black finish can be cleaned in the same way. Remember that the LED bulb is not included and must be an E27 socket with a maximum power of 15W per light point.

Design and use

The VENICE lamp has an oval shape that makes it instantly recognizable. It is neither a conventional ceiling lamp nor an overly designed pendant. It sits at that middle point where the object works well and also looks good, without needing any explanation.

The oval shade is made of ceramic, a material that gives the piece character and sets it apart from the more common options on the market. The handcrafted process at the Barcelona workshop ensures that no two units are exactly alike. That is something you appreciate once the lamp is hanging from the ceiling and the light passes through the ceramic with a softness that industrial materials rarely achieve.

The body is made of steel in a black finish, which contrasts with the gloss white of the shade. That combination works in modern interiors, but also in spaces with more neutral or restrained design elements. The black of the body does not impose itself; it simply defines the structure without unnecessary prominence.

This version with a three-light multiple canopy is designed for situations where a single shade is not enough. A long dining table, for example, benefits from having three light points distributed along its surface. The result is more balanced lighting that is less dependent on secondary sources. In the kitchen, a similar arrangement above the countertop or central island allows you to work with good visibility without resorting to additional recessed spotlights.

In the living room, the oval pendant lamp can be placed above the coffee table or over a reading area to create a more intimate lighting zone within a larger space. Does the three-light version require three electrical connection points in the ceiling?

No. The multiple canopy connects to a single electrical point in the ceiling. The three shades hang from a single main cable that branches out from the canopy.

Can the oval ceramic shade vary slightly from one unit to another?

Yes. Since it is handmade in a workshop in Barcelona, each piece may show small variations in the finish or shape. These differences are inherent to the handcrafted process and are part of the character of the lamp.

Can any type of compatible E27 bulb be used, or are there restrictions?

The maximum power per light point is 15W. Within that limit, any LED bulb with an E27 socket can be used. The light source is not included in the pack.
