Overview

TATAWIN is a ceiling pendant lamp with a defined character. The metal shade in a reddish-orange tone concentrates light downward, creating a warm focal point that marks the visual center of any space. It is a lamp that does not go unnoticed, yet it is not excessive either. Its design combines a black satin steel structure with a colored shade that is reminiscent of classic workshop or studio lamps, oval in shape and direct in function.

It works especially well over a dining table, in a kitchen with a central island, or in a bedroom where a light source with personality is desired. The combination of matte black and reddish-orange allows it to integrate into interiors with dark wood elements, iron, or industrial finishes.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in lighting. It designs and manufactures lamps for indoor and outdoor use, with a wide range spanning from modern proposals to more classic references such as this one.

Installation and specifications

To install this pendant lamp, a ceiling power outlet or a recessed junction box is required. As it is a suspension luminaire, it is recommended to verify that the ceiling hook or support is capable of holding the weight of the assembly. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if it involves a new installation or modification of existing wiring. The compatible voltage is 120V to 240V, making it suitable for use in different countries without additional adapters.

To clean the shade and the steel structure, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the satin black finish. Before any cleaning, disconnect the lamp from the power supply. The E27 LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.

Design and use

The TATAWIN lamp by FARO has a structure built in steel with a satin black finish. The assembly is solid and weighs 1.67 kg, giving it a real physical presence without being too heavy for the ceiling support. The oval, metallic shade is finished in a reddish-orange tone reminiscent of aged copper or industrial enamel from the mid-twentieth century. That combination of colors, black and orange, is what gives this luminaire its vintage character without falling into forced decoration.

The oval shade directs light downward in a focal manner. It is not a lamp designed to illuminate an entire room uniformly, but rather to create a specific light point. Over a dining table, that focal point defines the gathering space and adds warmth to the atmosphere during meals. In a kitchen, installed over the countertop or over an island, it draws attention to the work area without the need to add more lights.

In a bedroom it can function as the main light if the space is not very large, or as a visual complement alongside other light sources. It also fits well in a living room with an industrial or rustic aesthetic, where untreated materials, wood, and iron are the protagonists. The oval shade in orange acts as a warm color accent that balances the cooler or more neutral tones of the surroundings.

This pendant lamp adapts well to medium or high ceilings. In spaces with low ceilings, it is advisable to check the length of the cable or suspension rod to ensure the lamp hangs at a functional and safe height. The cable is usually adjustable in many suspension models, although it is recommended to confirm this detail at the time of installation.

The E27 socket is one of the most common in the European and Latin American market, making it easy to find compatible LED bulbs in any store. The maximum power is 15W, sufficient for effective focal lighting with current LED lights. Since no bulb is included, the buyer can choose their preferred color temperature: warm white for cozier atmospheres or neutral white for work spaces.

The TATAWIN lamp integrates well with natural wood furniture, matte black finishes, polished concrete surfaces, or exposed brick walls. Its classic design and color palette make it compatible with industrial, rustic, or vintage style interiors, but it can also work as a contrast in more modern spaces where an element with visual history is desired.

Questions and answers

Is the TATAWIN lamp shade oval or round?

The shade is oval. That elongated shape is part of the characteristic design of this lamp and helps concentrate the light beam downward in a more directional manner.

What type of socket does the bulb for this ceiling lamp require?

It requires a bulb with an E27 socket, which is the most common standard. The bulb is not included and must be purchased separately. The maximum accepted power is 15W.

Is this pendant lamp compatible with 120V electrical installations?

Yes. The voltage range is 120V to 240V, so it works in both European and North American and Latin American installations without the need for an adapter.
