Overview

TATAWIN is a pendant lamp by the brand FARO designed for spaces where light needs to fall in a precise and controlled way. Its metal shade directs the beam downward, making it a suitable option for dining tables, kitchen countertops, or reading corners. It does not scatter light throughout the room, but concentrates it where it is needed most.

The design combines a black structure with a white shade, giving it a classic character without feeling outdated. That color combination fits well in modern interiors as well as in spaces with wooden or iron elements. FARO is a brand with extensive experience in lighting, and this lamp reflects the balance between functionality and aesthetics that characterizes its products.

Installation and specifications

To install this pendant lamp, a ceiling box capable of supporting at least 2 kg is required. The fixture is mounted directly to the ceiling, with the suspension cable allowing height adjustment according to the space. It is recommended that the electrical installation be carried out by a professional, especially if there is no existing wiring at the chosen point. Verify that the installation voltage is compatible with the indicated range before connecting.

To clean the metal shade, a soft, slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the finish. The lamp should not be switched on without the bulb properly fitted. Periodically check that the suspension cable is securely fixed and shows no visible deterioration.

Design and use

The TATAWIN lamp has an oval shape that sets it apart within the FARO catalogue. That oval shade is not merely an aesthetic choice: it directly influences how light is distributed downward, covering an elongated surface evenly. This is a feature that proves especially useful over rectangular tables or kitchen islands, where a round shade would leave the ends less illuminated.

The structure is made of steel with a satin black finish. It is not a glossy black that reflects the surroundings, but a more understated tone that blends in without drawing too much attention. The white shade contrasts with that dark base and helps the emitted light appear cleaner and more direct. Together, these two colors form a combination that works both in a living room with dark furniture and in a kitchen with lighter finishes.

The suspension cable is two meters long, which provides considerable flexibility to adjust the height according to the needs of the space. In a dining room with high ceilings, it can be left hanging lower to create a stronger visual effect. In a kitchen or room with a standard ceiling, it can be easily shortened so the lamp sits at a functional height without feeling intrusive.

The oval shade measures 1050 mm in length and 184 mm in depth, making it suitable for illuminating work areas or gathering zones. This is not a lamp designed to light an entire room in a general way, but rather to create a warm, defined focal point. This makes it useful in spaces where a specific area is to be highlighted: the dining table, the work area of a kitchen, a bedroom corner with an armchair.

In terms of fitting into its surroundings, the TATAWIN lamp adapts well to interiors that mix modern elements with more neutral ones. It does not have a strongly industrial character, nor a defined Nordic style, which gives it a certain versatility. It can pair well with tables with metal frames, wooden surfaces, or walls painted in neutral tones. It also works in simpler spaces where a light source with visual presence is desired without overwhelming the overall composition.

Compatibility with E27 LED bulbs makes it easy to use low-consumption options. Since no bulb is included, the user can choose the color temperature that best suits the atmosphere they wish to achieve in each space: a warmer light for the living room or bedroom, or a more neutral one for the kitchen or bathroom.

The oval shade and satin black finish make this lamp a piece that remains relevant over time, without depending on specific trends. It is the type of luminaire that does not clash when the rest of the furniture or room décor changes.

Questions and answers

Is the TATAWIN lamp suitable for installation in the bathroom?

The technical sheet does not specify an IP protection rating, so it is not recommended for installation in areas with direct moisture such as the inside of a shower. For bathroom use, it is advisable to place it in areas away from water, such as the mirror area or the entrance.

What type of bulb does this lamp accept and what is the maximum power?

The lamp has an E27 socket and accepts up to 15 W. The bulb is not included, so it must be purchased separately. It is recommended to use an E27-compatible LED bulb within the indicated power range.

Is it possible to adjust the height of the suspension cable?

Yes. The cable has a length of 2000 mm, which allows the height of the lamp to be adjusted according to the space. The excess cable can be gathered in the ceiling mount during installation.
