Overview

The FARO TATAWIN lamp is a hanging ceiling luminaire designed for interior spaces where direct and controlled lighting is desired. Its satin black steel structure and white metal shade give it a classic character that does not depend on trends. It is a lamp that fits effortlessly in a dining room, kitchen, bedroom or living room, without imposing a specific style or conflicting with what is already in the space.

The oval design of the shade concentrates light downward, making it useful when a specific area needs to be illuminated: a table, a countertop or a reading corner. It does not disperse light throughout the room, but directs it where it is needed.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior and exterior lighting. Its products combine functionality with aesthetic judgment, and are designed to last in real domestic environments.

Installation and specifications

For installation, a previously enabled ceiling light point is required. As it is a hanging lamp with direct ceiling fixing, it is recommended to verify that the anchor surface is firm and capable of supporting the weight of the assembly. The wiring must be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if a connection box is not already installed. Before starting any electrical work, always disconnect the power from the main panel.

To clean the satin black steel structure, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that could damage the finish. The white metal shade admits the same type of cleaning. Do not wet the electrical components. When you need to change the bulb, make sure the lamp is switched off and cool before handling it.

Design and use

The TATAWIN is a hanging ceiling lamp with solid construction and a refined appearance. The structure is made of steel with a satin black finish, a material that provides strength without adding unnecessary weight. The visual result is clean: a defined silhouette that stands out well against white or neutral-colored ceilings.

The shade has an oval shape, which directly influences how the light is distributed. Being oval and oriented downward, it projects a focal beam of light that falls on the surface below. This distinguishes it from diffuse light lamps, which illuminate the environment in a general way. The oval white shade contrasts with the black structure and visually softens the ensemble without reducing its character.

In the dining room, this lamp works especially well over a rectangular or round table. The focal light generated by the oval shade defines the space without the need to add other lights. In the kitchen, it can be installed over an island or countertop to improve visibility in the work area. In both cases, the installation height can be adjusted to achieve the desired visual and lighting effect.

In the bedroom, a hanging lamp like this can replace bedside tables with wall lights, freeing up surface space. In the living room, placed over a coffee table or in a reading corner, it acts as a secondary light point that complements the general lighting of the room.

The style of TATAWIN is classic and timeless. It is not a Nordic lamp with minimalist lines, nor does it have the rough look of industrial style. It sits at an intermediate point that allows it to coexist with dark wood furniture, exposed iron or more contemporary interiors. The combination of satin black and white is one of the most versatile color schemes in decoration, making it easy to integrate into already decorated spaces without generating excessive contrast.

The E27 socket is the most common standard in the domestic market, so finding a compatible LED bulb requires no effort. The lamp supports up to 15W, sufficient for functional lighting in medium-sized spaces. Although the bulb is not included, the choice of light type, warm or cool, is left to whoever installs it, allowing the atmosphere to be adapted according to the use of the space.

The weight of 1.67 kg makes it manageable during installation and does not require special anchors in conventional ceilings. Compatibility with voltages between 120V and 240V makes it suitable for different domestic electrical configurations.

Questions and answers

Does the TATAWIN lamp include an LED bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The light source is not included. You need to purchase an LED bulb with an E27 socket separately. The maximum supported power is 15W, and you can choose between warm or cool light depending on the effect you want to achieve in the space.

Does the oval shade direct light downward or illuminate in all directions?

The oval shade is designed to concentrate light downward, generating focal illumination. It is not a general ambient luminaire, but a lamp designed to illuminate a specific area, such as a table or a countertop.

Is the satin black finish on the body resistant to everyday use?

The steel body with satin black finish is suitable for domestic interior use. It holds up well with periodic cleaning using a soft cloth. Abrasive products should be avoided to preserve the finish in the long term.
