Overview

The TATAWIN lamp by FARO is a hanging ceiling luminaire designed for those looking for a clean, well-defined light source without sacrificing aesthetics. Its metallic shade in a blue-grey tone gives it a character of its own that doesn't get lost among the surrounding elements. It doesn't draw attention in an exaggerated way, but it doesn't go unnoticed either.

The classic design of TATAWIN makes it suitable for very different spaces. It works well above a dining table, in a reading corner, or as a bedside lamp in a bedroom where diffuse light is to be avoided. Its black satin steel structure gives it visual solidity without adding unnecessary bulk.

FARO is a brand with decades of experience in interior and exterior lighting. Its products combine quality materials with a coherent design philosophy, built to last both aesthetically and functionally.

Installation and specifications

Installing this pendant lamp requires an electrical connection in the ceiling with wiring suitable for the indicated voltage. It is recommended that the installation be carried out by a certified electrician. Before starting, make sure to cut the power supply at the distribution board. The ceiling fixing must be made on a firm surface capable of supporting the weight of the luminaire.

The metallic shade can be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid the use of abrasive products or solvents that may damage the finish. Do not touch the bulb with unprotected hands. To replace the light source, first disconnect the power and wait until the lamp has completely cooled down.

Design and use

The TATAWIN lamp has a simple and well-resolved construction. The body is made of steel with a satin black finish, giving it a discreet yet defined presence. It is not a lamp that imitates materials such as wood or rattan, but one that commits to metal with conviction. The oval shade in a blue-grey tone is the element that gives it its identity: that color, sitting between cool grey and muted blue, creates an unusual combination with the dark structure.

The result is a pendant luminaire that projects focal light downward, concentrating the beam on a specific area. This makes it particularly useful when you want to illuminate a specific point without flooding the entire room. In a dining room, for example, it can be placed above the table to create a well-defined zone without the need for additional ceiling lights. In a kitchen with an island or bar, it serves the same function: it delimits the work area with precise light.

In a bedroom, TATAWIN can be used as a suspended bedside lamp, freeing up surface space and adding a more refined touch to the overall look. Its compact size, with a total diameter of 250 mm, allows it to integrate without overwhelming the space. It takes up no more room than it needs to. In a living room, it can work as an accent lamp above a sofa, an armchair, or a side table used for reading or working.

The oval shade contributes to the lamp looking balanced from different angles. It is not a strict geometric shape nor a perfect globe, but a piece with a soft volume that is reminiscent of certain forms from Nordic or classic industrial design, although without fully belonging to either of those categories. This gives it versatility: it fits in interiors with modern lines just as well as in spaces with more traditional elements.

Compatibility with an E27 LED bulb of up to 15 W allows the use of efficient light sources without complications. The oval shade directs and contains the light, so the final result in the environment also depends on the color temperature of the chosen bulb. A warm light will reinforce the welcoming character of the ensemble; a neutral light will make it more functional.

The weight of 1.67 kg is moderate for a pendant lamp of this type. Ceiling mounting requires no special preparation beyond a sound electrical connection and a solid base to anchor it to. The suspension cable is left visible, which is part of the final appearance of the luminaire.

TATAWIN can be combined with other materials present in the space: dark wood surfaces, black metals in fittings or furniture, or walls in neutral and muted tones. The blue-grey of the shade also pairs well with fabrics in grey, sage green, or soft terracotta. It does not need a specific setting to work well visually.
