Overview

The STUDIO pendant lamp by FARO is a linear luminaire designed for spaces where a balance between form and functionality is sought. It adapts well to the ceiling of a dining room, kitchen, living room, or even a home office. Its elongated, horizontal silhouette makes it a good option for illuminating specific surfaces: a table, a countertop, a bar.

What sets this lamp apart is the cable support rod, which reproduces the shape of a tree branch. It is not a decorative detail added as an afterthought, but part of the original design of the STUDIO collection, created by the Nahtrang studio. This reference to nature coexists with clean lines and an aesthetic that draws on elements of 1950s design without feeling dated.

The matte green color of the body adds presence without overwhelming the overall look. It is a tone that works in interiors with natural or neutral finishes, and pairs well with materials such as wood or iron without creating visual conflict. FARO has been manufacturing luminaires for the residential and workplace market for years, with attention to constructive detail and material durability.

Installation and specifications

To install this ceiling lamp, a fixed anchor point on the ceiling capable of supporting the weight of the luminaire is required. The fixture is mounted directly to the ceiling using the included rod. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, as it involves connection to the electrical mains. Before starting any work, make sure to cut the power from the electrical panel. Check that the available space allows the lamp to hang with sufficient distance from the floor, especially in installations above tables or work surfaces.

For maintenance, clean the steel body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the matte finish. Do not clean the lamp while the power is connected. Replace the bulb only when the lamp is switched off and cool. Use only bulbs with an E14 socket and a maximum power of 15W.

Design and use

The STUDIO collection was born from a simple idea: to recover the solidity and formal clarity of mid-twentieth-century design and bring it into contemporary interiors. The result is a pendant lamp that does not try to attract attention with complex shapes, but instead works through the coherence between its parts.

The elongated body, 915 mm long, is made of steel with a matte black finish. Over that body rests the matte green color of the ensemble, a tone that evokes vintage or Nordic interiors without being a literal reference to any specific style. The combination of black and green creates a defined visual presence without being excessively eye-catching.

The rod that holds the cable mimics the branching of a tree limb. It is an element that appears throughout the STUDIO collection and sets this lamp apart from other linear luminaires on the market. It is not just a technical solution for the wiring, but a piece with its own visual weight that contributes to the character of the whole.

At 915 mm in length, this oval lamp is particularly well suited for hanging above rectangular tables in the dining room or over kitchen bars. In a room with a standard ceiling, its height of 213 mm allows the distance between the luminaire and the surface to be illuminated to be adjusted. It also fits well in workspaces or small rooms where directed light is needed without resorting to several independent light points.

In the living room, it can function as a central lighting element if the space is not very large, or as a secondary light point above a reading or relaxation area. In the bedroom, a lamp of this type above the bed or over a side desk provides functional light with a clear aesthetic profile.

The light source is E14 LED, which means low energy consumption and a long service life. The lamp does not include a bulb, so this should be taken into account when placing the order. Using a compatible LED bulb keeps consumption below the 15W indicated as maximum power.

As for integration with other elements in the space, this luminaire pairs well with light or dark wood surfaces, walls in neutral tones, and straight-lined furniture. In spaces that combine materials such as iron, glass, or concrete, the matte black steel body connects naturally with those finishes. The lamp does not need exclusive prominence to work well within the overall composition.
