Overview

FARO's five-light pendant lamp is designed for spaces where lighting is not just functional, but part of the atmosphere. An open kitchen, a dining room with a long table, a living room with sufficient ceiling height — in all these places this pendant fits without drawing too much attention, but without going unnoticed either.

The opal glass diffuser distributes light evenly, without bright spots or harsh shadows. The dark grey finish of the aluminium body pairs well with neutral interiors, light wood, and matte surfaces. It does not impose a specific style, which makes it easy to integrate into residential projects and commercial settings such as cafés or workspaces.

FARO is a company with a long track record in interior lighting. Their products combine durable materials with functional design, aimed at those who seek concrete results without complications.

Installation and specifications

To install this lamp on the ceiling, an existing electrical point is required. Fixing is done using the included hook accessory, which allows the position to be adjusted with a certain degree of flexibility. Given the weight of the unit — around five kilograms — the anchor must be made on a solid surface, preferably concrete or a joist. If there is any doubt about the ceiling's load capacity, it is advisable to consult an electrician before proceeding. The cable has a generous length that allows the hanging height to be adjusted according to the space.

The aluminium body does not require special products for cleaning. A dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient to remove accumulated dust. The glass diffuser can be cleaned with a soft cloth, avoiding abrasive products that may damage the opal surface. Before any cleaning, make sure the lamp is switched off and cool. Do not wet the electrical connections or the inside of the lamp holder.

Design and use

FARO's oval pendant lamp has a clear presence without feeling excessive. Its elongated shape and five light points make it suitable for illuminating large surfaces, such as a long dining table or a kitchen island. In a living room with high ceilings, it can serve as a central element without the need to add further light sources in the main area.

The body is made from dark grey aluminium, a lightweight yet durable material that retains its finish over time. The oval structure holds the five lamp holders in a balanced manner, distributing the weight evenly. The overall unit gives a sense of solidity without appearing visually heavy.

The opal glass diffuser is the element that defines how light is perceived in the space. Rather than projecting direct beams, it softens the emission and spreads it downward and to the sides. This results in warm, uniform lighting with no glare. In a bedroom or living area, this type of light helps create a relaxed atmosphere without sacrificing clarity.

The lamp uses E27 sockets compatible with standard LED bulbs. Although the light source is not included, this format is easy to find and allows you to choose the colour temperature that best suits the space: warmer light for rest areas, or something more neutral for kitchens and work areas.

The hook installation allows the lamp to be placed exactly where needed, without depending on a fixed position on the ceiling. This is particularly useful in renovation projects or commercial premises where the electrical point does not always coincide with the centre of the space. In a rectangular room, for example, it can be shifted so that it sits directly above the table or work area.

The combination of dark grey and opal glass works well in interiors with natural finishes — wood, stone, exposed concrete — but also in cleaner, more minimalist spaces. It is not a lamp with a defined style; it is more of a design piece that adapts without forcing the overall scheme. In a bathroom with sufficient free height, it can be an interesting option above the vanity area, provided that safety regulations for wet zones are observed.

In restoration projects or commercial settings such as cafés, bars, or coworking spaces, this type of pendant lamp provides visual order and coherence without complicating the installation. Five lights in a single structure are easier to manage than several independent points, and the result is cleaner.

FARO's oval lamp, designed by Nahtrang, is a solution built to last. The materials, fixing system, and overall dimensions are geared towards installations that are not changed frequently.

Questions and answers

Does the hook accessory allow the lamp's position to be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The hook fixing system offers a degree of flexibility to shift the lamp relative to the ceiling electrical point. This allows it to be centred above a table or adjusted according to the needs of the space, without any additional work.

Does the opal glass diffuser affect the intensity of light emitted by the lamp?

The opal glass softens and distributes the light, which reduces the sensation of glare but also filters part of the direct emission. The result is diffuse, uniform lighting, more suitable for relaxed environments than for tasks requiring highly concentrated light.

Is the 2500 mm oval structure fixed or can it be adapted to different configurations?

The length of the structure is fixed, at 2500 mm long and 185 mm in diameter. It is not a modular lamp. Its size is designed for large spaces, such as dining rooms or kitchens with an extensive island, where those dimensions are proportionate.
