Overview

The FARO pendant lamp is a suspension luminaire designed for interiors where warm light is sought without sacrificing a refined finish. It works well in the dining room, living room, or any room where a calm atmosphere is desired in the evenings. The structure combines aluminium in a matte white finish with beech wood, and the opal glass diffuser distributes light evenly, without harsh zones or annoying glare.

The hook accessory is included, allowing the position of the lamp to be adjusted with greater freedom. There is no need to keep it fixed at a single point if needs change. The design is by Nahtrang, and it shows in the proportion between materials and the oval shape of the diffuser, which is understated without going unnoticed.

FARO is a Spanish brand with years of experience in interior lighting. Their products combine design sensibility with materials that hold up well in everyday use.

Installation and specifications

For installation, an existing ceiling point with an electrical connection is required. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician. Before handling any component, ensure that the circuit is de-energised. The included hook facilitates placement, but the ceiling support must be suitable for the weight of the assembly.

To clean the body, a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. The glass diffuser can be cleaned with a soft cloth to avoid scratches. Abrasive products must not be used, and no part should be submerged in water. The LED bulb is not included and must be purchased separately with an E27 socket.

Design and use

The pendant lamp has a structure that combines two materials with their own character. The matte white aluminium provides solidity and a clean finish, while the beech wood adds visual warmth. Together they form an ensemble that does not try to draw too much attention, yet has a presence in the space.

The oval opal glass diffuser is the element that defines the quality of the light. The glass filters the light source and distributes it softly throughout the surroundings, without creating harsh contrasts or reflections. It is the kind of light that makes a room feel more welcoming at the end of the day, when a less intense atmosphere than direct light is preferred.

In the dining room, this pendant lamp works especially well above a wooden dining table or one in neutral colours. The oval shape of the diffuser is compact, making it suitable for spaces of different sizes without appearing disproportionate. In the living room, it can be used as the main light source or as a complement to other ambient lights.

In the kitchen, the ceiling lamp with an opal diffuser creates a workspace with good lighting without feeling cold. The light that passes through the glass is sufficient for everyday tasks while allowing the area to maintain a warm tone. In the bedroom, the effect of the oval diffuser is particularly noticeable: the ambient light it generates helps to relax the space without completely darkening the room.

The included hook adds flexibility to the installation. If the ceiling point does not coincide exactly with the ideal location, the accessory allows the position to be adjusted without additional work. The suspension cable reaches up to 3350 mm, providing margin to adapt it to ceilings of different heights.

In terms of style compatibility, the combination of matte white and beech wood fits effortlessly into interiors with modern lines, Nordic design environments, or spaces that mix natural materials with industrial finishes. It is not a lamp that forces a specific style, but rather adapts to what is already in the room.

The bathroom can also be an option if the installation point is outside areas of direct humidity. In that case, it is advisable to consult the installation specifications with a professional to ensure that the mounting is appropriate. In hallways or entryways, a single lamp of this type can be sufficient to set the tone of the passage from the entrance.

The compatible bulb is of the E27 LED type, with a maximum power of 15 W. Although it is not included in the package, any standard bulb with that socket and compatible wattage will work correctly. Choosing a bulb with a warm colour temperature will enhance the effect of the diffuser and make the most of the light that this modern lamp can offer.

Questions and answers

Is the hook accessory already included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The hook is included with the lamp. It allows the position of the luminaire to be adjusted relative to the ceiling point without the need for additional parts.

Can the oval glass diffuser break during transport or installation?

The diffuser is made of opal glass. Like any glass element, it requires careful handling during assembly. It is advisable to unpack with care and handle it with both hands when installing it.

Is it possible to use this pendant lamp with a bulb of higher wattage than 15 W?

It is not recommended to exceed the indicated maximum power of 15 W. Using a higher-wattage bulb can generate excessive heat and affect both the diffuser and the lifespan of the luminaire.
