The MAMBO collection was born from FARO's design laboratory with a clear idea: to integrate natural materials into contemporary lighting proposals. This pendant lamp combines a matte black lacquered steel structure with an oval rattan shade 320 mm in diameter. The rattan, crafted in the form of a spherical shade, is one of the most recognisable elements of this collection. Its interwoven fibres allow light to pass through the shade organically, projecting patterns onto the walls and ceiling that change depending on the angle of observation.

The steel body acts as a counterpoint: clean, geometric, in matte black. This combination makes the lamp work well in interiors where the natural and the contemporary coexist. It is neither a rustic piece nor strictly modern, but something in between that can adapt to various decorative styles.

Questions and answers

Does the rattan shade significantly reduce the amount of light emitted by the lamp?

Yes, the shade filters part of the light and creates a softened illumination. To compensate, it is recommended to use an E27 LED bulb with an appropriate wattage within the 15 W limit supported by the lamp.

Is the suspension cable adjustable in height?

The total height of the assembly is 1860 mm. No cable adjustment is specified in the product features. If you need to adjust the length, consult an electrician before installation.

Can this pendant lamp be installed on a sloped ceiling or only on a flat ceiling?

The mounting is designed for a standard horizontal ceiling. Installation on sloped ceilings requires specific adapters that are not included and depends on the ceiling structure in each case.
