Overview

LUMINA 600 is a recessed pendant lamp from FARO, designed for those looking for ceiling lighting that takes up no visual space yet still makes a statement. Its curved profile and transparent body make it virtually disappear into the ceiling, leaving only the light. It works well in living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens or bedrooms — any space where clean lighting is desired without distracting elements.

What sets this lamp apart is the combination of constructive discretion and a visual result that does not go unnoticed. The integrated 2700K LED module emits warm light that creates atmosphere without being tiring. By recessing it into the ceiling, the lamp becomes part of the architecture rather than an added element.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in luminaire design. Their products combine quality materials with technical solutions designed for real installations, both in domestic settings and more elaborate interior design projects.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the lamp, make sure the opening in the ceiling corresponds exactly to the indicated dimensions. Electrical work must be carried out by a qualified professional. Cut the power supply from the electrical panel before any intervention. Verify that the ceiling has the necessary thickness and strength to support the weight of the luminaire. The light source is not included — purchase an LED module compatible with the manufacturer's specifications before installation.

To clean the transparent body, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the finish. The opal PC diffuser is cleaned in the same way. Do not touch the lamp when it is on or has just been switched off. Periodically check the condition of the cables and the ceiling fixing.

Design and use

The LUMINA 600 lamp has an oval design that sets it apart from conventional ceiling luminaires. It is not a neutral shape: the curvature of the body brings movement and lightness, as if the lamp were floating below the ceiling without weight or tension. The transparent body reinforces this sensation, as it allows you to see through it and generates no visual mass.

The opal PC diffuser distributes light evenly, without hot spots or harsh shadows. The colour temperature of 2700K produces warm light, similar to classic incandescent light, which suits bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms or any area where visual comfort is sought. It is not cold task lighting, but rather light that accompanies.

The SMD LED module ensures efficient consumption and a long service life. The maximum power of 60W allows sufficient illumination for medium-sized spaces without the need to combine it with other lights. Even so, it can integrate well alongside accent or spot lights if the project requires it.

The oval shape of this lamp gives it compositional versatility. In a long corridor, it can be aligned with other units to create a linear sequence that guides the eye. In a kitchen, it is installed above the work area or central island without interfering with the overhead space. In a bedroom, its low recessed profile allows it to be used even in ceilings of moderate height where a conventional pendant lamp would not fit.

In the dining room, the LUMINA 600 pendant lamp can be placed above the table to concentrate light where it is needed without creating an aggressive focal point. In the bathroom, the transparent finish and curved geometry fit in with modern and minimalist environments. Its design does not interrupt the visual reading of the space — it integrates rather than imposes.

The transparent body and opal diffuser create a combination that works both day and night. During the day, the lamp is barely noticeable. When switched on, the oval piece gains presence with soft light that fills the space homogeneously. There is no glare, no cold spots — just a clean distribution that makes the room look complete.

This lamp suits modern-style interiors, although its organic shape also dialogues well with warmer or mixed environments. The transparent material does not clash with wood, natural textiles or matte finishes. The discreet design is precisely what gives it adaptability — it does not impose a style, it accompanies the one that already exists.

In projects where the aim is to create different planes of light on the ceiling, the oval shape of LUMINA 600 allows you to play with the composition without saturating the ceiling with heterogeneous elements. Several units of the same model create rhythm without visual noise.

Questions and answers

Does the LUMINA 600 lamp include the LED module for operation?

No. The SMD LED light source is not included with the product. It is necessary to purchase a compatible module separately before proceeding with installation.

What is the colour temperature of this lamp and what kind of atmosphere does it create?

The lamp operates at 2700K, which corresponds to warm light. This range produces an atmosphere similar to classic incandescent lighting, suitable for rest areas, dining rooms or bedrooms where visual comfort is sought.

Is it possible to install this lamp in a ceiling with little thickness or in lightweight constructions?

Before installation, it is advisable to verify that the ceiling can support the weight of the luminaire, which is 1.67 kg. In plasterboard ceilings or other lightweight constructions, it may be necessary to reinforce the anchor point. It is recommended to consult a professional installer to ensure secure fixing.
