Installation and specifications

The fixture attaches directly to the ceiling using the included mounting element. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially if working with the electrical panel or making a new branch connection. The voltage is compatible with the standard electrical grid in Spain and most of the world.

For maintenance, clean the steel body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. The fabric shade may accumulate dust over time — remove it with a soft brush or a microfiber cloth without pressing. Avoid cleaning products containing solvents or abrasives. Do not handle the bulb while the lamp is on or immediately after switching it off. Remember that the LED light source is not included and must be purchased separately in E27 socket.

Design and use

The FARO ceiling pendant lamp designed by Estudi Ribaudí has a clear presence in the space without requiring additional decorative elements. The oval shade, made of fabric, has a diameter of 500 mm, making it a medium-sized piece — large enough to illuminate a dining table or a living area without appearing disproportionate.

The fabric of the shade filters light evenly. When the bulb is on, the oval surface glows in a diffuse manner, creating an enveloping light effect that does not dazzle. Does the pendant lamp include the E27 LED bulb?

No. The light source is not included. You need to purchase separately a bulb with an E27 socket and a maximum power of 15 W. It is recommended to use an LED bulb for greater efficiency and lower heat generated on the fabric shade.

What is the actual diameter of the oval shade and how does it affect the choice of space?

The total diameter of the oval shade is 500 mm. It is an appropriate size for tables seating between four and six people or for standard-sized living areas. In smaller spaces it may feel somewhat visually dominant, so it is worth considering this before installing it.

Does the suspension cable allow the height of the lamp to be adjusted relative to the ceiling?

Yes. The total installed height is 1470 mm, but the cable can be gathered during installation to reduce the distance between the ceiling and the shade. This allows it to be adapted to different ceiling heights without the need to replace any component.
