Overview

The CONGA pendant lamp by FARO is a ceiling luminaire designed for interior spaces where detail matters. Its matte black steel structure and white papyrus shade create a combination that works well both in a private room and in a large living area. The 3-light multiple canopy allows light to be distributed over a table, a reading area, or a rest zone without needing to install several independent light points.

What makes this lamp different is the balance between its sober finish and the warmth provided by the papyrus diffuser. It does not draw attention aggressively, but it does define the space. It is an option that fits both a domestic renovation and hospitality projects, where visual coherence is sought without sacrificing functionality.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in interior and exterior lighting. Its collections combine aesthetic judgment with carefully chosen materials, and the CONGA line is a good example of that approach.

Installation and specifications

Before installing this ceiling lamp, check that the anchor point on the ceiling can support the weight of the assembly. The fixture is mounted from the ceiling using the included canopy. The suspension cable has a maximum length of 5000 mm, allowing the height to be adjusted according to the space. It is recommended that installation be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially to ensure a safe connection to the mains voltage. The lamp is compatible with voltages between 100 V and 240 V, so it can be used in different countries without an adapter.

To keep the lamp in good condition, clean the steel body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. The papyrus diffuser is delicate: avoid using abrasive products, spray liquids, or damp cloths directly on it. Do not exceed the indicated maximum power of 15 W. Make sure the lamp is switched off and cool before handling or cleaning it.

Design and use

The CONGA pendant lamp with a 3-light multiple canopy is designed to cover larger surfaces from a single ceiling installation point. The three light heads are distributed from the same anchor, allowing long dining tables, kitchen countertops, or living areas to be illuminated without cluttering the ceiling with elements. It is a practical solution when more light presence is needed without multiplying fixing points.

The lamp body is made of steel with a matte black finish. This type of finish does not reflect light directly, giving it a calmer and less conspicuous appearance. In a bedroom or a living room with neutral colors, the matte black acts as an element that defines without dominating. In spaces with light wood or sand-toned walls, the contrast is clean and balanced.

The shade is made of white papyrus. Unlike glass or crystal, papyrus filters light softly, without creating direct glare or annoying reflections. The light coming through the shade is diffuse and enveloping, which is especially useful in rooms where a relaxed atmosphere is desired. In a dining room, for example, this type of lighting makes the space feel warmer without needing to adjust the intensity.

This oval lamp — with 500 mm in both length and depth — has a profile that adapts well to standard ceiling heights as well as to spaces with higher ceilings, thanks to the ability to adjust the cable up to 5000 mm. In a private bathroom or in a hallway with a high ceiling, the pendant lamp can be suspended at a comfortable height without the cable appearing excessive.

The CONGA collection is also designed for hospitality environments: boutique hotels, rental apartments, restaurants, or coworking spaces with rest areas. In these contexts, visual coherence between the different light points is important, and a lamp like this — with a restrained design and neutral finishes — fits in without forcing the overall style. Matte black and white are colors that coexist well with almost any palette, whether modern, Nordic, or leaning toward a more classic style.

In a kitchen with dark furniture, the lamp provides contrast from above without competing with the other elements. In a living room with simply lined furniture, it becomes a discreet focal point. In a bedroom where visual calm is sought, its neat silhouette and filtered light create the right atmosphere for rest. The multi-light pendant ceiling lamp is also an interesting option for large bathrooms or dressing rooms where good lighting is needed without bulky fixtures.

Compatibility with an E27 LED bulb keeps energy consumption low. The light source is not included, so you can choose the color temperature that best suits the use of the space: cooler for work areas, warmer for rest environments. That flexibility is one of the advantages of a lamp that, otherwise, already has everything defined in its form and finish.

Questions and answers

Is the papyrus diffuser on this pendant lamp resistant to the heat generated by the E27 bulb?

The papyrus diffuser is designed for use with LED light sources of up to 15 W, which generate very little heat compared to traditional bulbs. As long as the indicated maximum power is not exceeded, the material remains in good condition.

Can the length of the suspension cable be adjusted according to the ceiling height?

Yes. The cable has a maximum length of 5000 mm and can be gathered to adapt to lower ceilings. This allows the oval lamp to be installed both in spaces with standard ceilings and in rooms with greater height.

Does the 3-light multiple canopy require a special power point on the ceiling?

Not necessarily. The lamp operates at voltages between 100 V and 240 V and connects to a single standard power point on the ceiling. The three light outputs are integrated into the same assembly, with no additional wiring required.
