Overview

CLAIRE is a hanging ceiling lamp designed for interior spaces where a light source with its own character is desired. Its round shape and glossy green finish make it recognizable without being excessive. It works well in a dining room, a kitchen, or any room where you want to break slightly with convention without losing restraint.

The inspiration behind its design comes from the lights that illuminated fishing boats — that aesthetic of the functional and the nautical, translated into an object for the home interior. The metal structure with a green mesh section gives a clear visual presence without adding unnecessary visual weight. It is also available in other colors, and there is a version with a multiple canopy of 7 lights for those who need more light points from the same ceiling position.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in interior and exterior luminaires. Their products combine careful design with quality materials, and CLAIRE is a good example of that balance.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the lamp, make sure the ceiling point has a suitable junction box for hanging luminaires. Since it is fixed directly to the ceiling, it is advisable to check that the total height of 1640 mm is compatible with the room's clearance height. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician, with the power switched off at the electrical panel.

To keep the lamp in good condition, clean the metal structure with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the glossy green finish. Do not handle the bulb while the fixture is on or immediately after turning it off, as it may be hot.

Design and use

The CLAIRE lamp has a round steel structure with a mesh section, also in glossy green. That mesh detail is not merely decorative — it gives the piece visual lightness and directly recalls the nautical lanterns that inspired its design. It is not an oval lamp in the strict sense, but its rounded silhouette has that same softness of contour that makes it fit well in spaces without hard angles.

Glossy green is a color that works well when other natural materials are nearby. In a kitchen with wooden countertops or in a dining room with iron or wicker elements, the CLAIRE pendant lamp integrates effortlessly while still making a presence. It does not disappear into the space, but neither does it compete with the rest of the furniture.

In a vintage or industrial-style living room, this type of ceiling lamp fits organically. The combination of metal, mesh, and solid color evokes that aesthetic of the utilitarian repurposed as decoration. There is no need to force the style — the lamp speaks for itself with discretion.

For a bedroom, a single CLAIRE pendant lamp above the bedside table or centered on the ceiling can be enough to create a warm atmosphere without overloading the space. It also works in a room with low ceilings, as its format is compact in width — 165 mm in length and 165 mm in depth — although the total cable length should be taken into account before choosing the installation point.

The E27 LED socket allows the use of modern low-consumption bulbs. The maximum power is 15 W, which places it in a range intended for ambient lighting rather than intensive task lighting. Combined with other light sources in the same room, it fulfills its function well without causing glare.

In spaces such as a rustic or Nordic-style bathroom, a pendant lamp with this finish can be the element that gives visual coherence to the whole. Glossy green works both with white surfaces and with darker or stone finishes. It is not a color that closes off possibilities — on the contrary, it adapts easily to different contexts.

The version with a multiple canopy of 7 lights expands the possibilities for those who need to cover a larger space or want to create a more dramatic effect. The 7 pendant lamps together, in that same green, can transform a dining room or hallway into a space with a clear and coherent visual identity.

Questions and answers

Can the CLAIRE lamp be installed in ceilings with a standard height of 2.5 meters?

The total height of the luminaire is 1640 mm, including the cable. In a 2.5-meter ceiling, the bottom of the lamp would be approximately 86 cm from the floor, which may be low in passageway areas. Before installing it, it is advisable to measure the available height and assess whether the cable needs to be shortened.

Does the E27 socket accept standard LED bulbs available on the market?

Yes, the E27 socket is the most common in the domestic market and accepts any LED bulb of that type. The maximum permitted power is 15 W, so this limit must be respected when choosing the bulb. Please note that the lamp does not include a bulb.

Is the steel structure in glossy green resistant to the humidity of a bathroom?

The luminaire is classified for general interior use. In a bathroom, it is advisable to install it in areas away from the shower or bathtub, where there is no direct water spray. For humid areas with greater exposure, a luminaire with a specific IP protection rating would be required.
