SAVOY is a floor lamp designed for interior spaces where light needs to do more than simply illuminate. The design is by Isaac Piñeiro and bears the FARO seal, a brand with a long track record in interior lighting. The matte black steel structure supports a green textile shade that softens and filters the light. At the top there is a metal ring from which light is reflected toward the ceiling, generating a secondary glow effect that adds depth to the atmosphere.

Installation and specifications

Installing this lamp requires no special tools or intervention in the ceiling or walls. Being a floor lamp, it simply needs to be placed on the floor at the chosen spot and plugged into a standard outlet. It is advisable to choose a stable position, away from areas of frequent passage to avoid accidental knocks. The cable should be kept tidy and free of obstacles.

The textile shade can be dusted with a soft, dry cloth. It is not recommended to use damp products or spray directly on the fabric. The metal structure can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. No bulb is included, so an E27 LED bulb with a maximum power of 15 W must be purchased separately.

Design and use

The SAVOY lamp starts from a simple structure in matte black painted steel. This finish does not reflect light directly, which means attention falls on the shade and the luminous effect, not on the structure itself. The matte black is also a finish that is resistant to scuffs and easy to maintain over time.

The green textile shade provides the distinguishing element. When light passes through the fabric, the tone warms slightly and the result in the room is soft and enveloping. There is no glare, no areas of harsh light. It is a type of lighting that invites you to linger, ideal for the late afternoon or for creating a reading nook in the living room or bedroom.

The ring located at the top of the shade has a specific function: part of the light travels upward toward the ceiling and is reflected from there, creating a second layer of indirect lighting. This means the lamp illuminates in two ways at the same time: in a directed manner downward and in a diffuse manner upward. The result is a more complete atmosphere than that offered by a single point light source.

At 1600 mm in height, this floor lamp occupies a vertical space that other solutions do not make use of. In a dining room it can work alongside a side table or near a sideboard. In a bedroom it looks great next to the bed or in a corner beside an armchair. In a living room it can define a specific zone within a larger room, visually separating the rest area from the rest of the space.

The lamp does not display its components or show off its construction. What you see is the shade, the ring, and the projected shadow, and that is enough.

Questions and answers

Is the upper ring integrated into the shade or is it a separate piece of the structure?

The ring is part of the upper structure of the lamp and is integrated into the design. Its function is to reflect part of the light toward the ceiling, creating an indirect lighting effect that complements the main light emitted by the shade downward.

Does the lamp accept any E27 bulb or are there power restrictions?

The lamp accepts E27 base bulbs with a maximum power of 15 W. It is recommended to use an LED bulb to stay within that limit and make better use of the system's efficiency. The bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.

Is the base stable enough for a lamp 1600 mm tall?

The base has dimensions of 420 x 420 mm, which provides an adequate support surface for the total height of the lamp. Even so, it is advisable to place it in an area without frequent foot traffic to prevent knocks that could destabilize it.
