PMMA is a stable material that handles the temperatures generated by an 8W LED well. It does not yellow easily under normal domestic use conditions. That said, it is advisable to avoid cleaning with aggressive chemical products that could affect the diffuser surface over time.

Can this lamp be installed directly over a junction box in the ceiling or does it require a continuous surface?

The fixture mounts directly onto the ceiling. If a junction box is present, it can be used as an anchoring point as long as it is securely fixed and the cables are accessible. If in doubt about the installation, it is advisable to consult an electrician before proceeding.

Is the included SMD LED source replaceable if it fails?

The SMD LED light source comes integrated into the lamp. In many ceiling lights of this type, the LED module is not designed to be replaced domestically. If the source fails within the warranty period, contact us to handle the issue.
