Overview

The FARO RUSH 800 beacon is an outdoor lamp designed to mark and illuminate paths, walkways, gardens and parks. It is installed directly in the ground and works discreetly: it marks the route without drawing too much attention, but clearly illuminates every step taken after dark.

This lamp features an aluminum body and transparent polycarbonate diffuser, allowing it to withstand both everyday impacts and rain and dust, thanks to its IP65 and IK10 certification. It requires no frequent maintenance or special care. It simply works.

FARO is a Spanish company with decades of experience in technical and decorative lighting. Their products combine durability criteria with a clean and functional design, intended to integrate well in different environments, both in residential exteriors and in common spaces.

Installation and specifications

Before installing the lamp, verify that the anchor point in the ground is level and free of accumulated moisture. As this is a ground-mounted outdoor luminaire, it is recommended that the wiring be protected inside a buried corrugated conduit. The electrical connection must be made by a professional, as it operates at mains voltage between 100V and 240V. Check that the installation area does not accumulate puddles of water during rain, although the beacon has IP65 protection.

To clean the surface of the lamp, use a damp cloth without abrasive products. The dark gray aluminum body can be cleaned with water and mild soap. Avoid directing pressurized water jets directly at the base where the wiring connects. Do not disassemble it while it is connected to the electrical mains.

Design and use

The RUSH 800 has a height of 800 mm, which places it at a distance from the ground that is practical for illuminating pathways without causing glare. The lantern sits at eye level when a person is seated in the garden, but low enough not to visually interfere with the surroundings. It is a measurement designed so that the light falls where it is needed, without dispersing upward unnecessarily.

The body is made of aluminum, a material that does not rust easily and that withstands temperature changes between seasons well. The transparent polycarbonate diffuser allows light to emerge evenly. The combination of both materials makes this outdoor lamp lightweight while also resistant to impacts, with IK10 certification, the highest level in this category.

The color temperature of 4000K produces a neutral white light, cooler than warm interior light but without reaching the cold white of industrial environments. It is a tone that works well outdoors: it allows clear visibility of paths, plants and access points, without distorting the natural colors of the surroundings. In a garden with vegetation, this type of lighting respects the appearance of the plants and does not alter the perception of the space.

The 360-degree variant offers a symmetrical distribution of light around the beacon, ideal for placing it in the center of an open area or at path intersections. The wide option, on the other hand, projects light over a greater horizontal distance, which is useful for marking long stretches or illuminating path edges with fewer light points.

This beacon fits well in private gardens, access paths to homes, community parks and common areas of residential developments. It can also work on a terrace or along the edges of a swimming pool, where orientation lighting is needed without installing larger lamp posts. Its dark gray finish integrates easily in environments with vegetation, stone paving or timber decking treated for outdoor use.

Although it does not incorporate a motion sensor and is not rechargeable, its COB LED light source ensures contained consumption with a maximum power of 20W. This type of LED light has a long service life and does not require frequent replacement. As a lamp with an included light source, it arrives ready to install from the very first moment.

The lantern does not need any additional decorative elements to integrate into the garden. Its lines are clean and its scale is discreet. Placed alongside other outdoor elements, such as planters, curbs or low walls, it helps give visual coherence to the space without imposing itself.

Questions and answers

Does the RUSH 800 beacon withstand heavy rain and outdoor dust?

Yes. It has IP65 certification, which means it is protected against dust ingress and against water jets from any direction. It is suitable for outdoor use throughout the year.

Is the LED light source included or does it need to be purchased separately?

The COB LED light source is included. It is not necessary to purchase it separately or carry out any additional bulb installation before assembly.

What level of impact resistance does this outdoor lamp have?

The body has IK10 certification, which is the maximum level of resistance to mechanical impacts. This makes it suitable for high-traffic areas or common spaces where it may receive accidental knocks.
