Installation and specifications

This lamp is fixed to the ground via anchor. Before installing it, make sure the electrical wiring is properly prepared and that the cable outlet is protected underground or with appropriate conduit. As an outdoor luminaire, installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician, especially to ensure correct connection under humid conditions. Check that the installation area is level so that the bollard remains perfectly vertical.

For maintenance, simply clean the aluminium body with a damp cloth and, if necessary, with a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive products or solvents that could damage the black finish. The prismatic glass diffuser may accumulate dust over time; clean it carefully to avoid scratching it. Design and use

The BALIC bollard has an elongated and discreet shape that integrates well into almost any outdoor environment. Its 580 mm height makes it visible from the ground without being intrusive, and its compact dimensions — 150 mm in length and 80 mm in depth — allow it to be placed in narrow passages or alongside kerbs without getting in the way. The contained weight of just over one kilogram makes it easy to transport and handle during installation.

The aluminium body provides resistance against temperature changes and prolonged exposure to the elements. The black colour works well both in gardens with vegetation and on terraces or patios with more urban finishes. It is a lamp that does not need to draw attention during the day, but fulfils its function clearly when night falls.

The prismatic glass diffuser distributes light in a controlled manner. The asymmetric effect is not random: it is designed so that the illumination falls mainly to one side, which is very useful on paths or walkways where it is important to mark the route without creating annoying glare. This directed distribution means the lamp makes good use of its 8W, illuminating what is needed without wasting light where it is not required.

By including the SMD LED light source, there is no need to look for a replacement bulb upon receipt: it comes ready to install and switch on. LED technology reduces consumption compared to older solutions and does not generate excessive heat in the diffuser, which extends the overall lifespan.

Questions and answers

Is it possible to change the colour temperature after the bollard has been installed?

No. The colour temperature selection — 2700K, 3000K or 4000K — is made at the time of installation. Once the lamp is fixed and connected, it cannot be modified without dismantling the unit.

Can the BALIC bollard be installed in areas directly exposed to rain?

Yes. This lamp has IP65 protection, which means it is prepared to withstand rain and dust ingress. It is suitable for outdoor installation without the need for additional protection against rain.

Does the prismatic glass diffuser affect the direction of the light?

Yes. The diffuser works in combination with the optical design of the luminaire to generate an asymmetric light effect. This means the light is not distributed uniformly in all directions, but is concentrated mainly to one side, which is especially useful for illuminating paths or walkways.
