Overview

The VESPER floor lamp by FARO is a surface luminaire designed to illuminate interior spaces with a defined character. Its steel structure in a brown finish and its textile shade in a beige tone create a combination that works well in the living room, bedroom, or even in a wide hallway where you want to add visual presence without overwhelming the atmosphere.

The VESPER series is based on the interplay between two bodies: one solid and one open. That contrast is what gives this floor lamp its modern appearance without being flashy. It is not a piece that tries to stand out above everything else — it is a lamp that integrates and, at the same time, defines the corner where it is placed.

FARO is a Spanish brand with a track record in interior lighting design. Its products are widely distributed in the European market and are characterized by combining accessible materials with careful finishes.

Installation and specifications

This floor lamp is placed directly on the floor, with no need to drill walls or ceilings. Before positioning it, make sure the power cable reaches the nearest outlet without tension. The total weight is 7.2 kg, so it is advisable to choose a level and stable surface. The base must rest fully on the floor to prevent the lamp from tilting. No tools are required for basic installation.

To clean the steel body, use a slightly damp cloth and dry it immediately. The beige textile diffuser can be gently brushed with a clothes brush or a dry cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may alter the color or texture of the fabric. Do not handle the lamp with wet hands or while it is connected to the power supply. Remember that the E27 bulb is not included and must be purchased separately.

Design and use

The VESPER lamp has a height of 1350 mm, which makes it a piece with a real presence in any room. It does not go unnoticed, but it does not compete with the furniture either. The brown steel body gives visual solidity to the whole, while the beige fabric shade softens the light and gives a warm character to the space where it is installed.

The design of this floor lamp is based on two volumes that complement each other. That solid/open duality is not just aesthetic — it also has an effect on how light is perceived in the room. The textile shade diffuses the beam and distributes it gently, without creating harsh contrasts or pronounced shadow areas.

In the living room, this lamp can be placed next to the sofa to create a reading area or simply to add a layer of warm light that complements the main lighting. In the bedroom, it works well in a corner next to the bed or in front of a mirror. The light it projects is not harsh, making it suitable for moments of rest or a calm atmosphere.

The dining room is another space where this lamp makes sense, especially if placed near a sideboard or at one end of the room to balance the central light. In a hallway with sufficient width, a floor lamp like this can mark the path and add warmth to a space that is usually left in dim light. Even in a larger bathroom, if there is a corner away from wet areas where it can be placed, it can provide complementary lighting with character.

The textile material of the diffuser harmonizes well with wooden elements, whether furniture, floors, or decorative details. The combination of wood in warm tones with the beige of the fabric and the brown of the steel creates a coherent palette that requires little effort to integrate. It also works in more contemporary style interiors, where the simplicity of lines and the sobriety of finishes are the predominant language.

A kitchen with a sitting or reading area can also benefit from the presence of this floor lamp if the space allows. It is not a luminaire designed to illuminate work surfaces, but to create atmospheres. In a kitchen open to the living room, it can be the element that visually defines the separation between areas without the need for physical barriers.

The E27 LED bulb, which the user must provide, allows control of the color temperature and light intensity according to preferences. A warm-toned bulb accentuates the welcoming character of the whole. A neutral-toned one can give a more functional result. That flexibility allows the same lamp to adapt to different uses depending on how it is configured.

Questions and answers

Does the VESPER lamp include the E27 bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The bulb is not included. The lamp accepts an E27 LED socket with a maximum power of 15 W, and it must be purchased separately. You can choose the color temperature that best suits the atmosphere you want to create.

How much does the floor lamp weigh and is it stable on the floor?

The net weight is 7.2 kg. That weight contributes to the stability of the unit. Simply place it on a flat, level surface and it will stand firm without any additional anchoring.

Is the beige textile diffuser suitable for rooms with a lot of direct sunlight?

The beige fabric may be affected by prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which over time can slightly alter its tone. It is recommended to place the lamp in areas where it does not receive continuous sun for hours at a time.
