Design and use

The SAVOY lamp by FARO has a height of 1600 mm, making it a piece with real presence in any room. It does not go unnoticed, but it does not compete with the rest of the furniture either. Its scale is designed for spaces with standard ceiling heights where a floor lamp can occupy its place without being excessive.

The ring located at the top is the most distinctive element of this design. When the light is on, that ring acts as a reflector: it projects part of the glow upward, creating an indirect lighting effect on the ceiling. This changes the perception of the space. A room lit only from above can feel more enclosed; adding a lamp that also illuminates upward breaks that feeling and makes the ceiling seem higher and the atmosphere more open.

The white textile shade serves a specific purpose: it softens the light that exits to the sides and downward. In a dining room, for example, that diffused light creates a more relaxed environment during meals, without the harshness of direct light. Does the SAVOY's textile shade allow the intensity of the emitted light to be adjusted?

The shade does not regulate the intensity, but it does filter and diffuse the light that passes through it. The result is softer and more uniform illumination compared to a floor lamp without a shade.

No anchoring is needed. The design and weight of the base are intended to keep the lamp stable on the floor without additional fixings. Simply place it on a flat, level surface.
