Overview

The LIGGERA floor lamp by FARO is a floor luminaire designed for interior spaces where design matters as much as function. Its shape is reminiscent of a plant branch, with soft curves and a clean silhouette that does not compete with the rest of the furniture, but integrates naturally. It is a lamp that works well in the living room, bedroom, or any corner where you want to add light without visually overwhelming the space.

The base of this lamp follows the line of the LIGGERA collection: minimalism with Japanese inspiration, without unnecessary ornamentation, with a geometry that imitates the organic. The result is a piece that looks light even though it is made of steel, and that pairs well with modern, Nordic, or nature-inspired interiors featuring elements such as wood.

FARO is a Spanish brand with decades of experience in indoor and outdoor lighting. Their products are aimed at those seeking careful design and quality materials for the home.

Installation and specifications

Installing this floor lamp requires no construction work or ceiling or wall anchoring. It is placed directly on the floor in the chosen location and connected to the power supply via a standard plug. Before connecting it, check that the voltage of your installation is compatible with the indicated range. The G9 LED bulb is not included, so you will need to purchase it separately before using the lamp. Make sure to use a G9 bulb of up to 6 W so as not to exceed the maximum wattage of the lamp holder.

The matte black steel surface is cleaned with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products or solvents that may damage the finish. Do not move the lamp by pulling the cable. If the bulb needs to be changed, disconnect from the power supply first and wait for the lamp holder to cool down.

Design and use

The LIGGERA collection starts from a simple idea: that a lamp can have presence without feeling heavy. The base of this luminaire is made of steel and has a matte black finish that does not reflect ambient light, giving it a more sober and discreet appearance. The elongated shape of the arm is reminiscent of a branch gently leaning, with a curvature that seems natural even though it is entirely geometric. That duality between the organic and the industrial is what makes this lamp fit into very different interiors.

In the living room, the floor lamp can be placed next to a sofa to create a reading area or to add warm light to a corner that would otherwise remain in shadow. The height of 1383 mm positions it at a level that illuminates the space well without being intrusive. In a bedroom, it can replace the bedside lamp when there is not enough surface available, or be used as a secondary light source next to the bed. Its discreet base and slim profile mean it does not take up too much visual or physical space.

The dining room is another setting where this floor lamp can make sense, especially in open spaces where different light sources are combined. Placed near the table but outside the circulation area, it helps create a more intimate atmosphere without replacing the main lighting. In a wide hallway or an entrance with some space, the linear design of LIGGERA works as a decorative element that also provides functional light.

The matte black steel finish pairs well with materials such as natural wood, concrete, or linen. In a Nordic interior with light tones and wooden surfaces, it acts as a counterpoint without clashing. In a more industrial or contemporary space, it integrates directly with the other metallic elements. It can also be used in a generously sized bathroom, as long as it is kept away from areas with direct water contact and applicable electrical safety regulations are observed.

The maximum wattage of 6 W means it is a lamp designed for ambient or supplementary light, not for intense general lighting. This positions it perfectly in contexts where soft, directed light is what is sought: a reading room, a bedroom at night, a hallway that does not need to be fully lit. The G9 LED source allows you to choose from different color temperatures depending on the effect you want to achieve, from warm tones that bring warmth to the space to more neutral whites for modern environments.

At 7.2 kg, the lamp has enough stability to remain in place without needing to be fixed to the floor. The design ensures that the base provides balance even with the arm extended. It is a piece that can be relocated effortlessly when the space is reorganized, making it especially practical for those who frequently rearrange their furniture.

Questions and answers

Does the LIGGERA lamp include the G9 LED bulb or does it need to be purchased separately?

The bulb is not included. You will need to purchase a G9 LED bulb separately, with a maximum wattage of 6 W. You can choose the color temperature that best suits the atmosphere you want to create.

How much floor space does this floor lamp take up, given its depth of 548 mm?

The depth of 548 mm corresponds to the reach of the arm from the base. The actual footprint on the floor is smaller, as the base is designed to maintain stability without occupying a large surface area. Even so, it is advisable to leave that margin free around it so that the overall composition looks well proportioned.

Is the matte black steel finish resistant to everyday scratches?

Steel with a matte black finish is a durable material, but it may show marks if rubbed with hard objects or abrasive products. To keep it in good condition, simply wipe it periodically with a soft, dry cloth.
